Merit Scholarships & Direct Admission Criteria 2025

Amity University Gurugram is committed to recognizing and rewarding academic excellence through its Merit-Based Scholarship Programs for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students, including MBA aspirants. These scholarships provide financial assistance to high-achieving students, encouraging them to excel further in their academic pursuits.

On-Admission Scholarships – Undergraduate (UG) Programs

Students applying for UG programs can avail scholarships based on their Class XII performance from CBSE, ISC, or State Boards. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

• 100% Scholarship

  • Minimum 93% aggregate in Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State Boards)
  • Physical Education, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Vocational, and other non-written subjects are excluded from the aggregate calculation

• 50% Scholarship

  • Minimum 88% aggregate in Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State Boards)
  • Exclusion of non-academic subjects as mentioned above

• 25% Scholarship

  • Minimum 80% aggregate in Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State Boards)
  • Exclusion of non-academic subjects as mentioned above

Note: Scholarships are applicable for the first year only. From the second year onwards, students must meet the continuation scholarship criteria.

Direct Admission Criteria – UG Programs

• Students securing a minimum 80% aggregate in Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State Boards) are eligible for direct admission
• Direct admission candidates are exempted from the entrance test and interview, and their admission is based solely on Class XII scores

On-Admission Scholarships – MBA Programs

MBA aspirants can apply for merit-based scholarships based on their scores in national and international entrance exams. The eligibility criteria are:

• 100% Scholarship

  • Minimum 90 percentile in CAT/MAT
  • Minimum 650 GMAT score
  • Minimum 161 GRE score

• 50% Scholarship

  • Minimum 85 percentile in CAT/MAT
  • Minimum 600 GMAT score
  • Minimum 157 GRE score

• 25% Scholarship

  • Minimum 80 percentile in CAT/MAT
  • Minimum 500 GMAT score
  • Minimum 152 GRE score

Applicable for scores from 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021.

Direct Admission Criteria – MBA Programs

• Candidates securing a minimum 70 percentile in CAT/MAT qualify for direct admission
• Direct admission candidates are exempted from the entrance test but must undergo Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)

On-Admission Scholarships – Postgraduate (PG) Non-MBA Programs

Students applying for PG programs (other than MBA) can avail scholarships based on their academic performance in Class XII and Graduation.

• 100% Scholarship

  • Minimum 93% aggregate in Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State Boards)
  • Minimum 80% in Graduation
  • Exclusion of non-academic subjects

• 50% Scholarship

  • Minimum 88% aggregate in Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State Boards)

Amity University Gurugram Admission Eligibility

Undergraduate Course Eligibility

In Amity University, admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained by an applicant in 10+2 (relevant stream) or equivalent.

• CBSE or equivalent – Minimum required marks (for the following courses: BA, BCA, B.Des. (Fashion Design), Diploma in Hospitality Management, BA (Hons.) in Language Courses/ Applied Psychology, Bachelor of Tourism & Travel Management and Diploma Courses, Bachelor of Fine Arts, BHM,).
• CBSE or equivalent – Minimum requirement:  55% marks (for the following courses: B.Sc. (Hons.), B.Com. (Hons.), BBA + LLB, B.Com. + LLB and BBA).
• CBSE or equivalent – Minimum requirement:   60% marks (for the following courses: B.Tech., BA (Hons.) and B.Tech. + M.Tech.).
• CBSE or equivalent – Minimum requirement:   50% marks (for the following courses:  B.Arch., B.Plan., B.Des. (Interior Design), BCA + MCA, BA + LLB, B.Sc. and B.Optom.).
• Amity Entrance Test – Valid Score in the test (the following courses: B.Sc. (Hons.), BA LLB, B.Com. LLB and BBA LLB).
• CBSE or equivalent – Minimum requirement:  45% marks (only for B.Sc. (Nursing)).
• Amity Design Test – Valid Score in the test (for the following courses: B.Plan. and Bachelor of Interior Design).
• Amity Creative Test – Valid Score in the test (for the following courses: BA (Journalism & Mass Communication), B.Sc. (Animation & Visual Graphics), B.Des. (Fashion Designing) and Bachelor of Fine Arts).
• Amity JEE Entrance Exam – Valid Score in the test (for the following courses: B.Tech. and B.Tech. + M.Tech.).
• NATA Entrance Exam – Minimum requirement:   80% marks (only for B.Arch.).

Ultimate assortment to Undergraduate and Integrated programs are done on the basis of scores obtained in the entrance exam. This is followed by a Group Discussion/ Personal Interview conducted by the University. Admissions to Diploma courses are based exclusively on merit.

PG and PG Diploma Admission Eligibility

In Amity University, admission to PG and PG Diploma programs is done based on marks attained by an applicant in their Bachelor’s Degree Examination (relevant stream) or equivalent.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent –Minimum Marks (for the following courses: M.Sc. (in Applied Sciences, Biotechnology, Graphics & Animation, and Computers)) MA/ PG Diploma (in Journalism & Mass Communication), MCA, M.Tech., MA (English) and Master of Fine Arts M.Plan., Masters in Interior Design, M.Tech. (Biotechnology).
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent – Minimum requirement: 50% marks (for the following courses: M.Com., MBA, M.Sc. (Medical, Clinical Psychology),  MA (in Economics, Applied Linguistics, Counselling/ Applied Psychology), PG Diploma (in Psychology) and MSW).
• LLB or Equivalent – Passing Marks (only for LLM).
• Amity Entrance Test – Valid Score in the test (Only for M.Sc., M.Plan., Masters in Interior Design, M.Tech. (Biotechnology), M.Sc. (Computers), MCA and M.Tech.).
• CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ GMAT – Valid Score in the tests  (for MBA).

Ultimate assortments to PG Programs are done based on marks attained in the Amity Entrance Test followed by a Group Discussion/ Personal Interview conducted by the University. Selection for an MBA program is done entirely based on marks obtained in the following exams: CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ GMAT Entrance Exam, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview (which is conducted by the University).

Amity University Gurugram M.Phil. and Ph.D. Admission

The University offers a  three-year full-time M.Phil. program to applicants having a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with at least 55% marks. For admission in a three-year full-time Ph.D. research course, candidates should hold a Master’s degree/ M.Phil. in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks. The final selection of applicants is done in the following ways:

• An entrance test followed by an interview conducted by Amity University. 
• SLET/ GATE/ Teacher Fellowship holders (for Ph.D.).
• Direct award of Fellowship by ICMR, DST (INSPIRE), or any such national agency (Ph.D.).
• UGC (NET)/ CSIR (JRF) Exam (for Ph.d.).
• Any other equivalent test.

Amity University Gurugram Selection Criteria

• B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology):

  • Eligibility: Completion of Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), achieving at least 60% aggregate marks.
  • Selection Criteria: Admission is based on merit in entrance examinations such as JEE Main or Amity JEE. 

• B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture):

  • Eligibility: Completion of Class 12 with Mathematics as a subject or a 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics.
  • Selection Criteria: A valid score in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is required. 

• B.Sc. (Hons), B.A. (Hons), B.Des, BBA, and Other UG Programs:

  • Eligibility: Completion of Class 12 with varying minimum aggregate marks depending on the program.
  • Selection Criteria: Admission is based on merit in the Class 12 examination. 

Postgraduate Programs:

• MBA (Master of Business Administration):

  • Eligibility: A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • Selection Criteria: Valid scores in entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, GMAT, or GRE, followed by a group discussion and personal interview. 

• M.Tech (Master of Technology):

  • Eligibility: A B.Tech or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
  • Selection Criteria: Admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

• M.Sc, MA, and Other PG Programs:

  • Eligibility: A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Selection Criteria: Admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

• Candidates must register at the official website of Amity University entrance examination conducting bodies.
• A Candidate can apply online or download the application form. He/she can also buy an application pack from the university office.
• For the Online process, visit the official website of the university and click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.
• Fill out the form cautiously and upload a soft copy of the Class X mark sheet. Also, a recent color passport-size photograph is required.
• Pay the Application fees by Credit/Debit Card which is INR 1100
