Birla Global University (BGU) is a self-financed private unitary University and has been established by the enactment of Birla Global University Odisha Act, 2015 and is situated in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The university aspires to create new generation Managers and works in direction of refining the quality of management education with the finest of faculty members and state of art of facilities.

At present, the university has 5 schools and in this way, aims at catering to the need of the young mass of the country and to take Odisha to the global arena in the sphere of higher education. Selection Criteria

The process of admission begins with ensuring of fulfilling of required eligibility conditions. Candidates after ensuring that they are fulfilling the required eligibility conditions can apply for the course of their choice in the institution. The process to apply is online or offline. With regards to online mode, candidates have to visit the official website of the institution and then click the appropriate link for registration.

The registration can be taken up and then account comprising username and password has to be created. Post creation of user account, students can login and start applying. In case of offline, students have approach the university or its authorised centre for application forms, the forms can be filled and submitted along with required documents. Applicant found eligible (as per minimum eligibility criteria) will be evaluated in the following four parameters for the final selection process into the MBA program of Birla School of Management of BGU. The applicant should have a good academic record throughout his/her career. The applicant should have appeared CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/BET (Birla Global University Entrance Test) The applicant should have good communication and interpersonal skills. The applicant should have appeared GDPI / Personal Interview conducted by the faculty of BGU. Each criterion is having suitable weightage and the applicant is required to score minimum 60% to qualify through the selection process. Suitable weightage will be given to applicants having work experience. Applying for the admission does not ensure that candidate will be called for PI process or get admission. The discretion of the admission committee of the university will be final in all such matters.

The applicant to the programme is selected based on the BGU selection process based on past academic performance in 10th, 12th, and graduation, CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT score, GDPI or comprehensive PI, Written Ability Test (WAT). While selecting, suitable weightage towards work experience, academic and regional background, and professional qualification are given. NOTE: Applying for MBA Business Analytics admission does not ensure that a candidate will be called for a Personal Interview or get admission. The discretion of the Admission Committee of the university is final in all such matters.

LLM	Admission to the LL.M. Degree Course of study shall be open to those candidates who have passed the Three-Year LL.B. Degree Examination from a recognized University or Institution after Graduation under 10+2+3+3 pattern; or Five Year LL.B. Degree Course under 10+2+5 pattern as is recognized by this University as equivalent for the purpose of LL.M. Degree Course and have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate for the general applicants, and not less than 45% marks in aggregate for the SC and ST applicants, in the LL.B. Examinations.	The University shall conduct LL.M Entrance Test (LET) for each academic session. Admission shall be made according to merit in the LET subject to the fulfilment of eligibility requirement as determined by the University and availability of seats in LL.M. Course. The students who have passed the CLAT or LSAT examinations shall also be allowed to join the course subject to availability of seats.
MCA	Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree. OR Passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the Birla Global University). Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination	Students would be admitted to the programme on the basis of merit (Percentage of marks secured in 10th, 12th and Graduation) and also their performance in the Personal Interview.
Integrated MCA	The Candidate should have passed 10+2 Examinations in Arts / Science / Commerce or equivalent, having Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Science/ Information Technology in 12th as one of the subjects or three year Diploma in Engineering Examination conducted by State Council of Technical Education and Training, Orissa or equivalent degree 50% aggregated marks.	Students would be admitted to the programme on the basis of merit (Percentage of marks secured in 10th, 12th and Graduation) and also their performance in the Personal Interview.
MA/MSc - Financial Economics	Graduate with 50 per cent mark in aggregate with statistics/ mathematics as a paper at the graduate level	Students would be admitted to the programme on the basis of merit (Percentage of marks secured in 10th, 12th and Graduation) and also their performance in the Personal Interview.
Executive MBA - EMBA	A graduate in any discipline from a recognized university/ institute with a minimum of 50% marks. Minimum three years of work experience in the public, private, non-governmental sectors. Self-employed entrepreneurs with the qualifying degree can be considered. No age restriction. Sponsorship or ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer, if currently employed for pursuing this course.	Selection will be based on academic background, professional experience, Personal Interview, and Statement of Purpose. Document Submission The candidate must submit relevant documents in support of academic and work experience along with a statement of purpose mentioning “Why you are interested to pursue EMBA?” to the admission team. Personal Interview A candidate with a learning attitude, good communication skills, and leadership potential will be preferred. Admission Offer Letter The selected candidate will be offered an admission letter from the admission office of BGU with further details.
PhD	Candidates for admission to the PhD Programme shall have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency, approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.	There shall be a two stage process for admission into the programme. An Entrance Test shall be conducted with qualifying marks as 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of Research Methodology and 50% shall be subject specific. The Entrance Test shall be conducted at the Centre(s) notified in advance by the University. The written test shall be qualifying for the viva-voce. An interview/viva-voce is to be organized by the University where the candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a duly constituted Subject Research Committee. BBA LLB Hons	Bar Council of India may from time to time, stipulate the minimum percentage of marks not below 45% of the total marks in case of general category applicants,42% for OBC category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC and ST applicants, to be obtained for the qualifying examination, such as +2 examination in case of Integrated Five Years’ course or Degree course in any discipline for Three years’ LLB course, for the purpose of applying for and getting admitted into a law Degree Program of any recognized University in either of the streams. The process of admission begins with ensuring of fulfilling of required eligibility conditions. Candidates after ensuring that they are fulfilling the required eligibility conditions can apply for the course of their choice in the institution. The process to apply is online, candidates have to visit the official website of the institution and then click the appropriate link for registration. The registration can be taken up and then account comprising username and password has to be created.

Post creation of user account, they can login and then start filling the application form. The application form must be filled with details like the name of the candidate, date of birth, address, communication information like email, mobile number, course desiring to apply, qualification details. Post filling with these details, students have to pay the registration fees and then submit the application form.
