Elibility criteria for courses at CGC Landran

The eligibility depends upon the type of the course the candidates wishes to apply. The courses offered here are at undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The qualification to apply for an undergraduate course is a pass in plus-two.

The same for applying for  a postgraduate course is a pass in graduation in the relevant discipline. BTech

Selection criteria for admission at CGC Landran

There are multiple selection criterias for admission into various courses. The procedure would depend on the type of the course the candidate is interested to study in CGC Landran. Information is provided below for the sake of the candidates:

BTech

Applicants who are native to Punjab are provided B.Tech admission on the basis of a valid score in JEE Main. If the applicants are from other states, the admission to B.Tech is offered on the basis of marks in 10+2 followed by counselling conducted by PTU.

BPharmacy

Students wishing to study BPharmacy get admission based on either JEE Main score or PTU CET. 

MTech

Candidates aiming for MTech courses can get admission based on GATE score or marks in BE/ B.Tech followed by PTU counselling.

MBA

Candidates who are aspiring for MBA admissions have to pass tests like CAT/GMAT or Punjab MET exam and the score in the qualifying degree.

M.Sc, MCA, M.Pharm and B.Ed

Applicants wishing to join these courses would be selected based on their marks in the last qualifying examination. 

B.Tech (LE)/BSc/BBA/BCA/BHMCT/BTTM

Admission to these courses is completely merit-based followed by PTU Counselling.

Admission at CGC Landran

Candidates who have the required qualification or eligibility criteria can apply online. They can visit the website during the admission season and then click the appropriate link and register to create an account comprising username and password.

Post creation of an account, they can use the username and password and login and start filling the application form, pay the registration fee and submit the form along with the required documents. 

Post application submission, the admission procedure begins. There are two types of admission procedures, while the first is entrance exam based, the second process is merit based. Entrance Test based admission is where applicants have to write a test and pass it with required score and then attend counselling or its equivalent procedure.

The merit based admission system is where the students are provided admission based on their performance in the qualifying exam. The qualifying exam depends on the type of the course the applicant wishes to apply. Qualfication is plus-two pass if the course one wishes to apply is undergraduate. The same is a pass in bachelors degree if the course to be applied is postgraduate.

Walk-in

• Fill the form.
• Submit your original documents and five passport size photographs.
• After an eligibility check and fee submission, your admission will be confirmed.

PTU Counseling

B.Tech admissions are carried out on the basis of JEE rank through online counseling conducted by PTU, Jalandhar.

LEET

Students can apply for PTU counseling on the basis of their Diploma marks. Students who wish to apply courses under lateral entry scheme can apply through this route. 

Scholarship at Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran

There is an important point to remember there will be no fee charging from students of SC/ST categories of Punjab and Chandigarh if their family income from all sources is less than Rs 2.5 Lakh per annum. SC/ST students of other states are reimbursed for their fees through the respective State Government All these students have to pay the fee and can apply for the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme of the Government through Registrar Office of the College.
