The DPG Group was established in 2004 on a wide 23-acre campus. In 2011, the group established DPGITM Engineering College, which is affiliated with MDU, Rohtak, providing technical education to students in Haryana.

The main objective of the institute is to excel in research and innovation, interdisciplinary education, and the production of socially responsible, self-motivated future pioneers who can easily deal with global issues in their respective fields. Admission to B.Tech is based on JEE ranking. For admission to this program, the student must have passed 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subjects with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category).
Admission to B.Tech (Lateral) is based on LEET ranking. For admission to this program, the candidate must have passed Diploma from an AICTE approved institution with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology or passed B Sc. Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category).
For admission to M.Tech, the candidate must have passed B.E/B.Tech in relevant stream or equivalent with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category )
