It is a private institute which offers a 2-year full-time AICTE approved MMS program affiliated to Mumbai University.

Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Management studies and research (SVIMS) was started by a 80 year old educational Institution which was National Kannada Education Society (NKES). The college offers a 2 year full time AICTE approved, MMS program affiliated to Mumbai University. The vision of the college is to be among the premier institutes in India imparting globally relevant higher management education and practices. The campus life inside the college is made keeping the student’s view point in mind. They want to create an atmosphere in the college that helps the students to grow and interact with each other in a way that they can explore different sides of their personality. Of course, the classroom teaching is done in an elated way using the digital techniques but their aim is also to bring out the students out of the classroom approach and let them explore the industrial side of the world.
