Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre Bangalore Eligibility 

MBBS - The students must have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Botany & Zoology with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General (40% for SC/ST) category as prescribed by MCI/DCI.

B.Sc - The candidates must be 17 years of age. They should have passed PUC/10+2/Equivalent with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology) and English with an aggregate of 50%. They should pass the subjects individually also. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the aggregate must be no less than 40%. Foreign nationals must have passed a recognized 10+2/Equivalent examination in their own country.

B.Sc Post Basic Nursing - The candidates must have passed GNM after 10+2/equivalent examination. They should be a registered Nurse and registered Midwife/ Equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council. The maximum age limit is 48 years. The foreign nationals must have a valid certificate of registered nurse by their own country. 

B.Sc Paramedical Sciences - The candidates must have studied English as one of the principal subjects during the tenure of the course. They should have passed two-year Pre-University Examination/Equivalent Examination recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as principal subjects of study. 

MD - The candidates must have passed candidates must meet all the requirements set by the Medical Council of India. The candidates must have an MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India. They must complete their internship on or before 30th April. They must have a Permanent Medical Registration from Medical Council of India/State Medical Councils & Karnataka Medical Council.

MDS - The candidates must meet all the requirements set by the Dental Council of India. They must have a BDS degree from an institution recognized by the Dental Council of India. They must have a permanent registration from the Dental Council Of India. 

M.Sc Nursing - The candidates must have passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic & Post Basic) with 55% aggregate marks. Minimum one-year experience after B.Sc. Basic Nursing. No experience required for candidates with Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Registered with the State Nursing Council as a registered nurse & registered midwife. Foreign nationals must have a valid certificate of registered nurse by their country except for OBG specialty.

M.Sc Paramedical Sciences - The candidates must have passed the B.Sc. Paramedical Science in the relevant stream.

Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre Bangalore Selection Criteria

MBBS - The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit of the NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) examination.

BDS - The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit of the NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) examination.

B.Sc Nursing - Preliminary selection will be based on the candidates’ performance in their qualifying examination. Final selection will be based on interview attended by the candidate.

B.Sc Paramedical Sciences - Selection will be made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. 

MD - The candidates must appear and qualify NEET. They must clear the Common Entrance Test of Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore for the Government Quota. They should qualify the Common Entrance Test of Association of Minorities Professional Colleges of Karnataka (AMPCK) conducted for management quota.

MDS - The candidates must clear the NEET (National Eligibility & Entrance Test) conducted on all India basis.

M.Sc Nursing - Selection will be made on the basis of qualifying examination, followed by an interview by the management.

M.Sc Paramedical Sciences - Selection will be made on the basis of merit of the qualifying degree.

DM - They must have cleared the Common Entrance Test of Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore for the Government Quota. Should qualify the Common Entrance Test of Association of Minorities Professional Colleges of Karnataka (AMPCK) conducted for management quota.

Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre Bangalore Admission Process

The admission process of the college is pretty simple and happens through online and offline modes both. For the online mode, the students have to visit the official website of the college which is https://vims.ac.in/. Then, the students have to click on the ‘admissions’ tab on the home page. When you tap on that, you will be redirected to page that has an online form. 

The form that displays on the screen asks for information like your name, email, phone number,  subject, message, etc. The students have to fill all of these information and submit the application form. They will get a call from the college team for the same. 

To directly apply for the admission form without any query, the process is even more simple. For this, the students have to visit the official website of the college. On the home page, the students will find a direct link to the different subjects provided by the college under the heading of ‘Institute’.

Corresponding to each program, there will be three options, ‘Course Details’, ‘Apply Online’ and ‘Download Form’. Now, you have to click on apply online to enter the details online. The students can also download the form to manually enter the details by following the given instructions on the website itself. 

Note 

1. The candidate must fill in the admission form and submit either by post or in person.
2. The students must have  passed the NEET examination and submit the score card along with the form.
3. The selection of the students will happen on merit and selected students may be called for the counselling session.
4. The candidates must submit the necessary documents mentioned in the application form at the time of admission.
5. The selection of candidates and seat sharing will be based on the rules of Medical/Dental Council of India and Government of Karnataka respectively.
