CBSE 12th exams 2021: Time needed for the great decision

A high level meeting was held recently to look into the prospects of conducting CBSE 12th exams 2021.

Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank were among those who took part in it.

A proposal putforth in that meeting had two options for conducting exams.

One of the option was to organise CBSE 12th exams 2021 for main subjects while the marks for remaining subjects are to allotted based on an alternative method.

The second option was to conduct exams for all subjects in a reduced time frame of 1.5 hours where the questions would be either objective type or small answer questions.

Representatives of various states were also present in the meeting.

As far as class 12 board exams of various state boards are concerned, the state boards were allowed to take decision based on the situation prevalent in their states.

There was mixed reaction in the meeting. A few states leaned towards conducting 12th exams, while certain others felt the present time is not ideal to conduct exams.

The need to have more discussion was felt before making the final decision. The states were asked to send their viewpoints.

The decision regarding CBSE 12th exams 2021 was to be made on 1 June. However, it looks like it would take some more time for the decision to be announced.

CBSE 12th exams 2021Sources say, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would chair a meeting in connection with class 12 board exams on 1 June.

The meeting will discuss all options, say sources. The decision regarding the exams will likely be made in the meeting and it would be communicated to Supreme Court.

It is to note, Supreme Court is hearing a pleas regarding cancellation of board exams for class 12.

A plea was filed in the nation’s top court seeking cancellation of board exams for class 12.

It remains to be seen as to what will be the decision with regards to CBSE 12th exams 2021 and also the state board exams for 12th class students.

It is to note that several states are said to have requested the central government to take a uniform decision with regards to board exams.

Veteran educationists feel that if the decision to not hold 12th class exams gets an nod, the marks are likely to be allotted based on the student’s results in the past three academic year.

Students and parents are hoping that clarity would prevail with regards to CBSE 12th exams 2021 and 12th exams of state boards.
