University will also offer a much sought-after ‘Direct Ph.D.’ in Engineering for budding researchers to pursue doctoral programs immediately after undergraduate studies

There is more to it. Researchers pursuing a full-time PhD at Shiv Nadar University will receive free shared accomodation within the campus along with a monthly stipend of Rs 20,000 as well as a contingency amount of Rs 25,000 per annum to help them expand and support their research activities.

Shiv Nadar University Chennai will extend a special consideration for married scholars who will be able to pursue their research in comfort with the on-campus accommodation provided by the University for a nominal rent.

Further, the Part-Time Ph.D. option can be availed by candidates working as full-time faculty with educational institutions or in research laboratories within India.

Candidates who work as full-time teaching faculty of self-financing colleges, government aided colleges or any other educational institutions that are approved by the AICTE/UGC within India can also apply under this category.

Even, candidates who work in Industrial Units/R&D Departments/National Laboratories/Units of Government/Quasi-Government or any other research laboratories within India, that are recognized by the university to do research with the university and are sponsored by the respective employer can apply under part time category.

Soon after the webpage downloads, candidates have to provide the required information on the form provided there and create an account comprising username and password.

Post creation of an account, applicants have to login with help of the username and password and start filling the application form. Also, applicants have to pay the application fee, upload the required documents and submit the form.

Application fee

Procedure to admit
