UGC NET 2023 result will likely be out soon and candidates can visit the official website of the exam to check the result. National Testing Agency (NTA) will be announcing the UGC NET 2023 result.

The exam was conducted from 13 to 17 June 2023 for the phase 1. The second phase of UGC NET 2023 was conducted from 19 to 22 June 2023. Candidates across the country appeared for the test.

What is UGC NET 2023?

The full name of the exam is the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test which is abbreviated as UGC NET. It is a national-level exam conducted two times a year.

It is for candidates who wish to take up research (Junior Research Fellowship) in arts, humanities subjects. Those desiring to become assistant professors (job of lectureship) in these subjects can also apply.

The exam is conducted online and answers have to be registered on a computer screen. The exam must be written at the designated test centers which were located across India.

Who could apply?

The eligibility to take up UGC NET 2023 registration is a pass in postgraduation in the relevant discipline in which the candidates want to take up research fellowship or job of assistant professor.

The pass marks in the subjects should be at least 55% marks for General(UR)/General-EWS category applicants.
