PM Modi presents first-ever "National Creators Award 2024" in 20 categories

PM Modi today introduced the inaugural National Creators Award in New Delhi, honoring individuals across 20 categories for excellence in diverse fields.

In a statement, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that the award is an effort to recognise excellence and impact across domains, including storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education and gaming. 

At the event, Prime Minister Modi presented awards to several social media influencers, including motivational speaker Jaya Kishori, American YouTuber Drew Hicks, and others. 

The winners, including three international creators, were decided after more than 1.5 lakh nominations across 20 different categories were received. Subsequently, in the voting round, about 10 lakh votes were cast for digital creators in various award categories.
