XAT 2022 registration has commenced and candidates willing to study management courses can register for the exam till 30 November. XAT exam will be conducted on 2 January 2022.

About XAT 2022

Xavier Aptitude Test 2022 (XAT 2022) is a university level entrance examination conducted by XLRI on behalf of XAMI. XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) is a well-known management school in India. It also has the reputation of being one of the oldest institutions in India.

XAMI (XLRI Associate Management Institutes) are those institutions that are associated with XLRI and participate in XAT 2022 exam. Candidates who pass XAT 2022 with the required cutoff marks can apply for studying management courses either in XLRI or institutions associated with XLRI (XAMI).

Also, more than 100 other management schools accept XAT score while conducting admissions for management courses offered by them. Students who pass XAT 2022 can also apply in these institutions individually.

Eligibility for XAT 2022

Candidates willing to apply for XAT 2022 have to pass bachelors degree from any recognised institution located anywhere across India. Even students who are appearing for their final year exam of their bachelor’s degree can also apply.

However, candidates appearing for their final exams should have passed the exam by the time the admission process commences.

Important dates
Application submission process was thrown open on 10 August this year. The last date to submit application is 30 November. The admit card for XAT 2022 would be released on 20 December this year.

The answer key in connection with XAT 2022 will be released by second week of January 2022. The result would be declared in the third week of January 2022.

How to apply

Indian candidates
The procedure to apply for XAT 2022 is online. Candidates can visit the official website of the exam to submit application forms. Applicants have to visit the official website ‘https://xatonline.in/’

Soon after the webpage downloads, candidates can click the link ‘Register 2022’ and provide information like their name, email id and date of birth and complete registration to obtain username and password.

Post registration, applicants have to come back to the official website ”https://xatonline.in/’ and click the link ‘Login’ and enter the username and password obtained during the registration and commence applying for XAT 2022.

Applicants have to fill the form, upload the required documents, pay the registration fee and then submit the application form for XAT 2022.

Point to remember
Individuals who are already registered can click the link ‘Login’ and enter username and password and start applying for XAT 2022.

Foreign candidates
Non-Resident Indians or foreign nationals can apply courses through GMAT/GRE score. The GMAT score obtained from 1 December 2016 to December 31 2021 can be used to apply for XAT 2022.

These candidates can above mentioned official website mentioned above and click the link ‘Register’ and undertake registration to obtain username and password.

Post obtaining username and password, they can use it and commence applying for XAT 2022 exam. They can fill the form, pay the registration fee and upload documents and submit the application form.

Point to remember
NRI and foreign candidates can apply for Ex-PGDM programme, Business Management programme and Human Resource Management programme through GRE/GMAT score. Indian candidates on the other hand can apply only for Ex-PGDM programme through GRE/GMAT score.

Registration fee
The registration fee for XAT 2022 is Rs 1800 without late fee. Applicants who are interested in XLRI programmes have to pay an additional fee of Rs 300 each.

The registration fee for the candidates who submit XAT 2022 applications late is Rs 2100. Candidates who are interested in XLRI programmes have to pay Rs 500 each.

Indian candidates who are applying for Ex-PGDM course through GMAT score have to pay a registration fee of Rs 2500. The same for NRI/Foreign applicants applying for one or more programmes through GMAT score is Rs 5000.

Documents
The documents to be uploaded while filling the fom for XAT 2022 are given below:

# Marksheets of the qualifying (bachelors degree) exam (if available)

# 10th class and 12th class marksheets (if required)

# Scanned image of passport size photograph of the applicant

# Scanned image of the applicant’s signature.

Point to remember
The size of the photograph to be uploaded should not be more than 50 kb. The scanned image of the signature should not be more than 20 kb.

Exam pattern
XAT will have MCQ questions from topics – Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation and General Knowledge.

Each of the above topics will be divided into four sections in the question paper and each section shall have 22 to 26 questions and individuals have to answer them in 180 minutes.

The exam will be conducted in online mode and the total marks will be 100 and medium of the test is English. Every correct answer will get one mark, every wrong answer will lose 0.25 marks.

There will be deduction of 0.10 marks if candidates leave more than 8 questions unanswered. There is no negative marking in General Knowledge section.
