Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)

Eligibility

• The candidate must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent in CBSE/CISCE/IB/NIOS or passed Diploma with Mathematics as a mandatory subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• The candidate must have cleared the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
• The candidates who have completed a diploma program recognised by boards of Technical Education of different states/universities can also apply.

Bachelor of Design (B.Des)

Eligibility

• The candidate must have passed Class 12th or its equivalent examination from any streams (Science, Commerce and Arts/Humanities) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from Gujarat State Board or any other State boards or CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/IB.
• The candidate must have cleared the AnantU Design Entrance Test.

Master of Design: Integrated Product Design/Master of Urban Design

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed graduation degree (10+2+3/4) or equivalent from a recognized institute/university.

Anant National University Selection Criteria

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)

Selection process:

The candidates need to apply to ACPC and GOG separately. 50 seats are allotted by ACPC & GOG. These seats are filled as per the guidelines of ACPC. 
40 seats are allotted by Anant National University through All India Quota. Merit list for these seats is prepared by Anant National University.

Bachelor of Design

Selection process:

The selection for B.Des is based on a written entrance examination, a situation test followed by an interview conducted by the University. Students are supposed to carry their design portfolios at the time of the interview.

Master of Design: Integrated Product Design/Master of Urban Design

Selection process:

1. The candidate needs to fill the online application form.
2. All candidates are scheduled for a Telephonic Interview with the Director of the program.
3. Shortlisted candidates are supposed to give an online logical & critical thinking test.
4. Shortlisted candidates are invited to the campus for personal interview along with resume and work sample.

Anant National University Syllabus:

NATA Syllabus:

Part A of the exam comprises of Drawing which does not have a defined syllabus. Candidates must refer Sample Papers for the same. Part B of the exam comprises of General Aptitude and PCM Test. PCM covers the syllabus of Class 10th & Class 12th So, students must keep their concepts clear.

Drawing:

Drawing of patterns - both geometrical and abstract, Geometric composition, Understanding of scale and proportion of objects, shape, colour texture, building forms and elements, aesthetics, harmony and contrast, Conceptualization and Visualization through structuring objects in memory, subtraction, rotation, surfaces and volumes, form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shape and forms, Generating plan, Perspective drawing, Sketching of urbanscape and landscape, elevation and 3D views of objects, Common day-to-day life objects like furniture, equipment etc., from memory.

General Aptitude:

Texture related to architecture and the built environment, Objects, Interpretation of pictorial compositions, texture related to architecture and the built environment, General awareness of national/international architects and famous architectural creations, Visualizing different sides of 3D objects, Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawing, Mathematical Reasoning, Sets & Relations, Analytical reasoning, mental ability (visual, numerical and verbal).

Mathematics:

Logarithms, trigonometry, algebra, 3-dimensional coordinate geometry, matrics, application of calculus, the theory of calculus, statistics and probability, permutation and combination.  

Physics:

Current electricity, electrostatic potential and clearance, Electrostatics: Electric Charges and Fields, moving charges and magnetism, magnetic effects of current and magnetism, Electromagnetic induction and alternating currents, magnetism and matter, ray optics and optical instruments and wave optics dual nature of radiation and matter, electromagnetic induction and alternating current, atoms and nuclei-atoms and nuclei, Optics, materials, devices and simple circuits, Electronic devises-semiconductor electronics.

Chemistry:

Basic concepts of Chemistry, organic chemistry consisting of basic principles and techniques, hydrocarbons, environmental chemistry, classification of elements and periodicity in properties, the structure of atoms,  chemical bonding and molecular, states of matter: gases and liquids, equilibrium, Chemical thermodynamics, hydrogen, redox reaction, s-block elements, p block elements.

UCEED Syllabus:

Part A of the exam will cover the following topics:

Anant National University Admission

The university provides undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship programs, selection to which depends on the National Level Entrance Test or the Entrance Test conducted by the University depending on the course.

• The admissions to B.Arch depends on The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) rank.
• The admissions to B.Design depends on the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination (UCEED) for Design.

Steps to fill the application form:

1. The candidates need to visit the official website of the University and click on ‘Admission’.
2. The candidate needs to select ‘Application Form Online’ for the respective course and sign up with valid information.
3. The candidate needs to login using the registered email ID and fill the application form.
4. The candidate needs to pay the application processing fee of Rs. 250/- using the suggested payment method and upload the required documents.
5. At last, the candidate needs to submit the application form online and keep a printed copy for future reference.

The University provides Financial Aid, Scholarships, Loans, On-campus jobs to students who face financial problems.

Financial Aid

The University provides fees waivers ranging from 25% of academic fees to 100% of academic fees to the students who face financial crisis. If a student is facing severe financial stress, the Financial Aid of the University covers complete Educational Cost including tuition fees, residential costs, meals, excursions and study materials.

Scholarships for students admitted through ACPC and NATA:

• The candidates who get admission through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) are eligible for 100% tuition fees waiver for each year of the program, provided they are among the top 100 ranks in the list prepared by the Committee.
• The candidates who have secured 140 and above in NATA Examination are eligible for 100% tuition fees waiver for first each year of the program.

Presidential Scholarship – Anant National University

The top 5 high achieving students get this prestigious full scholarship in postgraduate programs (including the Anant Fellowship program). Students with exceptional extra-curricular achievements are also eligible for this scholarship.

Presidential Scholars must have:

• Exhibit and consistent academic achievement.
• The candidate must have a CGPA of 3 on a 4-point scale (or equivalent) and above from a recognized university.

Governing Board (GB) Scholarship – Anant National University

GB Scholars must have:

• Students must have exhibited financial need and a reasonable academic record.
• Students must have a combined annual family income of less than 12 lakhs p.a.

Anant Visionary Scholarship

Admitted Fellows having exceptional leadership/entrepreneurial ability are provided with this scholarship. They have to submit one or more of the following to be eligible for this scholarship.

• They have to provide letters of recommendations from three people who can attest to their leadership potential.
• They need to provide details of their start-up such as achievements, business plan, news coverage, billing details, funding details etc.
• They must provide Certificates or other awards for leadership.
• They need to provide details of the company’s financial assets (moveable and immovable property/investment/FD etc.) and Bank Statement for the entire financial year 2020-21.
