BITS Hyderabad Scholarships 2025

BITS Hyderabad gives scholarships to about 30% of its students. These scholarships are based on Class 12 marks, BITSAT scores, family income, and special cases like board toppers or physically challenged students. Scholarships are awarded every semester. Students must keep good marks and discipline to keep getting the scholarship.

1. Scholarships for First Degree Programs (BE, B.Pharm, M.Sc)

• New Students get scholarships based on their Class 12 marks or BITSAT score.
• Old Students get scholarships based on CGPA (marks in BITS).

2. Scholarships for Higher Degree (ME, M.Pharm, etc.)

BITS Hyderabad gives scholarships to students joining Higher Degree programs like ME and M.Pharm. These scholarships are based on past marks, family connections with BITS, nationality, or group admissions. The details are given below:

Scholarships for Old Students: If CGPA is 9.00 or more, there is a 20% tuition fee scholarship in the next semester at BITS Hyderabad.

3. Scholarships for PhD Students

PhD students who study full-time and do not get other help will get INR 31,000 per month. In exchange they have to work 8–10 hours per week in teaching or research.

BITS Hyderabad conducts BITSAT in two sessions for admission to its BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc courses. Session 1 is in May, and Session 2 is in June. For ME and M.Pharm courses, BITS Hyderabad conducts the BITS HD Online Test. It also accepts GATE scores for ME and GPAT scores for M.Pharm.
BITS Hyderabad also offers Work Integrated Learning Programs (WILP) courses for working professionals. This program includes courses such as M.Tech., B.Tech., MBA, M.Sc., Diploma, as well as Certificate Programmes. Other Ways to Get Admission in BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc at BITS Hyderabad

• Board Toppers: Students who come first in their state or central board exams can get direct admission. They do not need to give BITSAT. PCM toppers can choose any course. PCB toppers can only take B.Pharm.
• International Students: Students with a foreign passport and good SAT score can also apply. They do not need to give BITSAT. They must get at least 1160 out of 1600 in the SAT exam.
• BITS-RMIT Program: Students who give BITSAT can also choose this option. They will get two degrees – one from BITS Hyderabad and one from RMIT Australia.

BITS Hyderabad Campus & Facilities

BITS Pilani-Hyderabad campus is spread over 200 acres of green land in Jawahar Nagar, Hyderabad. The campus has modern buildings, well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, lecture halls, a big auditorium, sports grounds, and a student activity center. It also has strong internet and ICT facilities. The campus is fully residential with over 3200 students and has easy access by road and public transport. It is close to schools, hospitals, and other important places. The peaceful and green surroundings make it a good place to study and live.

Library: The BITS Hyderabad library is a big and modern place for study. It is fully air-conditioned and has space for over 550 students. The library has more than 48,900 books and 7,100 e-books. Students can also read over 14,800 online journals and use many useful databases like Scopus and IndiaStat. It has special machines for self check-in and check-out of books. Free Wi-Fi is available inside the library. The library is open every day from 9:00 am to 12:00 midnight. During exams, it stays open till 6:00 am. Students can also suggest or reserve books easily.

Medical Centre: The Medical Centre at BITS Hyderabad gives basic health care to students, staff, and their families. It has services like check-ups, emergency care, lab tests, and beds for patients. There are 5 doctors, 8 nurses, and 1 lab worker. They work all day and night in shifts. A pharmacy is also inside the campus. Special doctors for women, children, teeth, and physiotherapy come every week. Video calls and home care are also given if someone cannot come to the centre. The centre has modern machines and 3 ambulances, including one with life support.

Hostels: BITS Hyderabad is a fully residential campus with hostel rooms for all students. There are six hostels for boys and two for girls. Each student gets a bed, table, chair, fan, and cupboard. All rooms have internet and hot water from solar heaters. Every hostel has a common room with a TV. There are two messes that serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The mess is managed by a student council. All hostel students must eat in the hostel mess.

Sports: BITS Hyderabad has many sports and activity facilities for students. Outdoor games include football, hockey, basketball, tennis, volleyball, and throw ball for girls. Indoor games like table tennis, carrom, chess, badminton, billiards, and foosball are also available. There is a well-equipped gym for boys and girls that can hold 70–80 students at once. A cricket ground is also present. Other fun activities like dance, music, painting, photography, and drama are held in the Student Activity Center.

Shopping Complex & Bank: BITS Hyderabad has a shopping complex spread over 15,000 sq. ft. to meet the daily needs of students and staff. It has many useful facilities like a bank (SBH) with an ATM, a supermarket, a book shop, a medical shop, and a post office. There is also a restaurant, bakery, juice corner, fruits and vegetables shop, and dairy parlour. Students can also find a beauty parlour for both boys and girls, a laundry service, a telecom shop, a stationery store, and a fancy shop.

Laboratories: BITS Pilani-Hyderabad campus has set up modern labs for pharmacy, chemistry, and biology. Labs for biology, chemistry, physics, and microbiology are also being built. More labs like central analytical lab, pharma analysis lab, physics research lab, CADD lab, VLSI CAD lab, and EEE practice lab are coming up. Labs for civil, chemical, electrical, electronics, and mechanical engineering will be ready soon. A 20-seat computer-based language lab will also be started to help students improve their communication skills.

Computer Center: The Computer Center at BITS Hyderabad has many computers and servers for students and teachers. There are about 260 computers with Windows and Linux. Students use them for learning, coding, and doing lab work. Software like AutoCAD, Visual Studio, and antivirus is available. Internet is also provided. All computers have power backup. The center is open every day from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
