Overview

CCSU or CCS UNIVERSITY or Chaudhary Charan Singh University is a Meerut based university in western Uttar Pradesh. In 1965, it was started as Meerut University, later renamed after India’s fifth Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh. The campus is stretched over 222 acres with beautiful gardens, sports ground, gymnasium, library, laboratories, high capacity auditorium and residential quarters for teachers. The CCS university hostels have sufficient rooms for both boys and girls and CCS university hostel fees are affordable as well. The university balances academics with Extra-curricular activities. Students are encouraged to engage in competitions, sports, and debates. It also became the first university in India to offer M.Phil course in 1969.
