Entrance criteria are used to determine who is allowed to enrol in the classes that are provided by DSEC. For admission to the Bachelor of Technology programme, all candidates are required to take the TNEA Entrance test, and for postgraduate programmes, they must take the TANCET Entrance examination. The Anna University in Tamil Nadu is responsible for providing counselling for all of the courses.

At the college's front desk, applicants may acquire the Application Form by paying the Application Fee of INR 250/-. The Application
Fee can be paid using either cash or a demand draft.
