Jorhat Engineering College, Assam, was established with an aim to cater tech education among the North Indian students. The college was established in the year 1959 at Jorhat and principal of the Institute was Sri H. N. Barua. With a dazzling journey, the college bids AICTE recognised B. E. Course in Mechanical, computer science & engineering, Civil, Instrumentation Engineering and Masters course in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
