MAHE admits candidates under the Indian / Domestic (General) or Foreign / NRI category (International), on fulfilling the eligibility requirements. All admissions are on the basis of merit.

Foreign / NRI category seats are available only for

• Foreign Nationals
• Candidates with NRI status
• Candidates sponsored by relatives with NRI status
• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)*
• Person of Indian Origin (PIO)

Foreign / NRI / NRI Sponsored category seats are NOT equivalent to payment/management / reserved seats.

*The candidates MUST have secured the OCI/PIO card before 04.03.2025.

*As per the decision dated February 03, 2025, passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Writ Petition (Civil) 891 / 2021, the   OCI/PIO candidates who have secured an OCI/PIO card before 04.03.2025 shall be considered as Indian nationals.

The following Under Graduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG) and Super Speciality (SS) programs have Entrance Test as part of the selection process

MAHE admits Indian Nationals under the general category, subject to eligibility and equivalency. All admissions to UG & PG programs (other than those listed in the note below) under the General Category will be on a merit basis as specified in the Eligibility Criteria & Admission Process of the respective programs.

Qualifications

Candidates seeking admission to Under Graduate (UG) / Post Graduate (PG) / Super Speciality (SS) should have obtained their qualifications from a recognised Board / University. For PG programs, the candidates MUST have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration from a recognised University as per the program requirement. Candidates with Foreign qualifications must submit an equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, as per program requirements. 

Manipal University Bangalore Application Process 2026 – Step-by-Step Guide

If you’re planning to apply to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Bangalore, the registration process is simple and completely online. Follow the steps carefully to ensure your application is successfully submitted.

• Go to the Manipal University Bangalore admissions portal through the official website of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).
• Click on the “Apply Now” or “Register” button to begin your application.

You will see the registration form that asks for the following basic details. Please fill in each field accurately:

• Candidate Name* – Enter your full name exactly as it appears on your official documents.

• Candidate Email Address* – Provide a valid and active email ID.

  Important Note: There is no provision to change the registered Email Address or Mobile Number once submitted. Double-check your entries before proceeding.

• Candidate Mobile Number* – Enter your 10-digit mobile number that is always accessible to you.

• Pincode* – Fill in your area pincode.

• State* – Select your state from the dropdown list.

• District* – Choose your district accordingly.

All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

Next, you will need to select the program preferences:

• Program Level Applying For* – Choose whether you are applying for Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), or Diploma/Certificate level programs.

• Once you select the program level, you can choose your Stream, Program, and Campus from the dropdown menus.

  • For example, if you choose “Undergraduate,” the system will display available streams such as Engineering, Management, Design, Allied Health, etc.

  • Under “Campus,” select Manipal University Bangalore if that’s your preferred campus.

Before submitting the form:

• Complete the “I am not a robot” CAPTCHA verification to confirm that the registration is being made by a genuine applicant.

• Check the consent box that says:

  “I agree to receive information regarding my submitted application by signing up to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)*”
  This allows MAHE to communicate with you regarding your application status, admission updates, and related information.

After verifying all your details:

• Review the form carefully to ensure all fields are correct.

• Click on the “Register” button to submit your application.

Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation message on your registered email and mobile number with further instructions to continue your application (such as completing academic details, uploading documents, and paying the application fee).

1. Login Credentials: After registration, you’ll get your login ID and password sent to your registered email. Use these credentials to log in to your applicant dashboard.

2. Complete the Application Form: Fill in educational qualifications, upload necessary documents, and select test preferences (if applicable).

3. Pay the Application Fee: The fee can be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking.

4. Download Confirmation: After successful payment, download the confirmation page or payment receipt for your records.

• Library: The campus has departmental libraries where students can find printed academic resources, e-books, e-journals, e-databases, previous year question papers, online newspapers, etc.
• Hostel: The hostel facility offered by the university has different types of rooms for students. A team has been appointed by the university that ensure that students are provided with all the facilities for their comfortable stay.
• Sports: The campus has a cricket field, football ground, basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, badminton courts, carrom, chess, etc.
• Transportation: The University has a dedicated fleet of buses that provide pick-up and drop-off services for its students and staff. The buses run on approved routes to the different parts of the city.
