Thiruvalluvar University is a State University in the city of Vellore, Tamil Nadu in India. It was established by the Government of Tamilnadu, under the Thiruvalluvar University Act, 2002. The University was named after Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. TU is duly recognized by the UGC and accredited by NAAC ‘B’ grade. There are 51 Affiliated Colleges out of which six are the constituent colleges of University. The university imparts education in UG, PG and Research Programs.
