Amala Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a private medical college located in Thrissur city, the state of Kerala. It is a Christian Minority Institution which was established and administrated by the Devamatha Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The main objective of the college is to promote the innovative research which will benefit the humanity. AIMS offers MBBS Course, Postgraduate Course and Superspeciality courses which are affiliated by the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur. In AIMS, the annual intake for MBBS students are limited to 100 under which 50 seats are allotted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Kerala and 35 seats are filled by the management on the basis of the centralized counselling which will be conducted by the Kerala Christian Professional College Management Federation and rest of the 15 seats are reserved for NRI students. The postgraduate courses annual intake is 39.
