National Institute of Siddha [NIS] is located in Chennai and is a centre of excellence with research and higher education in Siddha System of Medicine. The institute was set up with a vision to attain High quality of P.G education and good health care services in Siddha Medicine and establish Siddha as a evidence based medicine and develop it as a center of excellence in Siddha. The NIS aims to provide the best possible post graduate education in Siddha, by putting together a team of distinguished faculty members and building a quality resource base. It intends to develop curricula so that the benefits of the traditional science can be applied in the present day. The Institute offers Post Graduate course in Siddha in six specialties, Ph.D programme and rendering health care services through Siddha Medicine. It offers a well attended OPD / IPD with diagnostic laboratory facilities for enhancing the learning and acquiring knowledge and skills in clinical management.
