Ranchi University is a State teaching-cum-affiliating university located in Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand, India. It was established in the year 1960 with mission commitments to academic excellence in teaching and research, innovation and creativity, respect for cultural diversity, individual dignity and worth, responsible stewardship and conservation of resources and leadership and involvement in the economics, social and professional growth of the reason and the nation. The university now spans five districts of Jharkhand, namely- Ranchi, Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, and Lohardaga.
