About Chemical Engineering Course

Chemical Engineering Course 2023 Chemical Engineering deals with the design, development of processes and operation of machines and plants through which the physical or chemical state of materials undergo various changes. Founded on the principles relating to chemistry, physics, and mathematics, Chemical Engineering finds application in process industries.

It is a multi-disciplinary branch of engineering that combines natural and experimental sciences (chemistry and physics), along with life sciences (biology, microbiology and biochemistry) and mathematics and economics to design, develop, produce, transform, transport, operate and manage the industrial processes that turn raw materials into valuable products. BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering is a 4-year program.

Developments in chemical practices have led to more advanced fields like Nanotechnology, Bio-Engineering, Bio-Molecular Engineering, Material processing etc. It finds global application in everyday life. Modern innovations like human genome project, genetic engineering, and DNA sequencing has changed the face how chemical engineering was earlier perceived. One can do an M.Tech in Chemical Engineering after BE/B.Tech.

This field of engineering is all about influencing numerous areas of technology. The work of the chemical engineers is to conceive and design processes to produce, transform, and transport materials. Their work starts with the experimentation in the laboratory and it is then followed by the implementation of the technology in full-scale production. This branch of engineering deals with the deals with the study of operation and design of chemical plants as well as methods of improving production. In short, they convert the raw materials into the useful products.

Designing, manufacturing and operating plants and machinery for carrying out large-scale industrial chemical, biological or related processes. They are also engaged in developing new or adapted substances for a wide range of products.
