Difference in Computer Science vs Computer Science & Engineering

There are a few differences between “Computer Science” and “Computer Science & Engineering”, while they do have similarities as well.

  • Computer Science mainly focuses on solving issues on a software level, it also includes learning different programming languages, and how to work with operating systems, and how to maintain databases. It includes virtual aspects of computers, which also focuses on software. Computer Science is a field that is closely associated with mathematics and applies theoretical ideas to solve real-world problems.
  • Computer Science and Engineering mainly focuses on solving problems and designing hardware and software interfaces. It focuses on hardware and software altogether, rather than just software. Computer Science and Engineering is a field that includes physics, electrical engineering, and computer science and many other aspects.
