Enterprise Journalism Course 2023 This is a very specialised field of Journalism which involves producing stories developed through intense research, field sources and usage of other facts and data. Enterprise Journalism or reporting does not revolve around or evolve through press releases or conferences. Rather, a reporter is required to dig deep to bring out facts.
Enterprise reporting often requires years of investigation to deliver the final story piece. The field is for those who are ambitious and can look outside the daily beat and normal breaking news cycles. Students will have to possess tremendous patience, a nose for news, out-of-the-box thinking skills and strong investigative abilities in order to build a career in this field. All of these qualities will be enhanced through a specialised course in Enterprise Journalism.
Their skills and knowledge are enhanced by pursuing different kinds of live international reporting projects. In this journalism course, students will be required to conduct regular research and interviews. They will have to report their findings in different forms including essays, oral histories and in-depth reporting projects. Students will learn about how journalism is practised across the globe and the challenges reporters face in different geographies.
Theoretical and practical concerns revolving around the principles of a free press are included in the study of Global Journalism. Students will be taught to examine, compare and contrast varied legitimate and illegitimate forms of regulation that surrounds journalism around the world.
