Associate Member of Institution Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers 2022 Associate Membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (AMIETE) conducts AMIETE Examination which is recognised by central government (India) and several state governments in India and many other institutions located in this country and abroad.
Candidates who wish to apply for recruitment for several high level posts can apply for this exam. This test is conducted twice in a year and is a national level exam.
The exam is conducted in June and December and notification for both the times are released at the appropriate time and candidates can submit application forms after the notice are released. The notification can be accessed at the official website of AMIETE. There are other popular names for the test, it is also called as AMIE or AMIE exam. The application can be downloaded from the official website and filled it and send it to the institution along with the required documents.
Individuals can visit the offices of AMIETE located across India in person and then obtain the application form in person and then fill it and then fill it and send it along with the required documents. The exam can be taken in three streams - Electronics & Telecom (ET), Computer Science and Engineering (CS) and Information Technology (IT). The exam has no definite set of time duration as it has two sections - Section A and Section B with a total of 23 theory papers and 4 lab sessions.
Candidates who have completed plus-two with maths, physics and chemistry as subjects can apply for the exam which will be conducted in offline mode as a pen and paper based test. This mode of test is where candidates have to record their answers in a separate answer sheets. Ccandidate is required to enroll himself/herself as a student member before he/she becomes eligible for appearing in AMIETE examination. The enrollment fee and other conditions are listed in Regulations and Syllabi for AMIETE examinations.
Student member shall be allowed to appear in the AMIETE Examination only after he/she has enrolled as a Student member with the Institution. Only those Student members who get enrolled on or before 31st August and 28/29th February will be allowed to appear in the next AMIETE Examination, held in December and June respectively. Such membership should be current at the time of submitting the examination application form.
The student membership will be valid for 10 consecutive examinations from the date of enrollment. Thereafter, the student members not completing their AMIETE Examination are to seek re-enrollment by remitting applicable amount before or immediately after the expiry of the membership period to continue their membership to enable them to appear in the remaining papers and complete AMIETE. Any examination chance not availed by a student due to whatsoever reason will be counted within 10 examinations.
A student is required to complete AMIETE Examination within 2 enrollment periods from the date of initial enrollment. The student will, therefore, be permitted to seek only one renewal of membership. Renewal is to be applied for before or immediately after the expiry of initial enrollment with continuity of enrollment maintained by the student. Any delayed enrollment entailing missed chances will be counted towards total number of examinations and no relaxation in this regard will be permissible.
If the request for renewal is made after the stipulated period of 2 enrollments, admission will be treated as a fresh enrollment and no benefit in terms of exemptions in respect of subject(s) passed or exempted during the earlier enrollment will be granted. Students must renew their membership in time, otherwise they will not be allowed to appear in the AMIETE examination. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates.
