About NIMCET 2022

NIT MCA Common Entrance Test 2022 National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur (NITJSR) is conducting National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) to provide admission to students in Master of Computer Application (MCA) course in the participating NITs (National Institutes of Technology-NIT) which are located across the country. This is a national level exam and one of the well-known NITs located across India takes the turn to conduct NIMCET every year. 

NIT JSR has taken the responsibility of conducting NIMCET for 2022. Another NIT will take the task of conducting NIMCET next year. The announcement regarding NIMCET and the NIT that is going to organise the exam will be made known before the issue of notification and commencement of registration for the test through major national newspapers and websites of popular media establishments.

The website will be announced where candidates can visit to submit applications. Once, the link for registration is made active on the website, candidates can start submitting application forms. Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password.

Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form. Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and mode of the test will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source.

The written test will be conducted in online mode and questions related to computer science, analytical ability & logical reasoning and english have to be answered in two hours time. Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure.

Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it. Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks,  If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process.   • Enter JEE Main 2023 Roll Number and Password.

Step 2: Upload Documents

Documents required must be kept handy before filling the application form. Once the JEE Advanced application form is filled correctly, upload the required set of documents with the specifications.

  • Upload high quality scanned images of your latest photograph and signature in JPEG format.
  • The signature size should range from 1kb- 30kb.

The candidates can check below the eligibility criteria to appear for JEE Advanced 2023:

Age limit: There is an age limit to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.

  • Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995
  • Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1990.

Qualifying JEE Main 2023: Candidates should be among the top 2,45,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2023. The number of candidates that are selected from each of the categories is as follows:

JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates. Registration has to be done and the candidates will have to select their choice of colleges and courses. Candidates will be allotted seats into the participating IITs according to their secured ranks, preferences and availability of seats.

The counselling for the JEE Advanced AAT 2023 qualified candidates will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The candidates will have to register through JoSAA where allotment will be done according to the candidate’s secured rank, preferences made and availability of seat.
