Eligibility criteria for NEE 2022

The condition of eligibility to apply for NEE depends on the type of category the candidates are trying to apply. The applications can be made in three categories - NEE 1, NEE 2 and NEE 3 and the criteria of eligibility is different for these three categories. More information is provided below in a tabular format for students:

NEE 1

He/She should not be more than 19 years of age as on July 31, 2022 ( born on or after August 1, 2002)

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed class 10 or should have appeared in class 10 exams

NEE 2

Details

Age Limit

(PCM) - Candidate  should not be more than 23 years of age as on August 1, 2022

(Vocational) - Candidate must not be more than 23 years of age as on August 1, 2022

(PCB) - Candidate should not be more than 23 years of age as on August 1, 2022

Educational Qualification

(PCM) - Candidate should have passed class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

Vocational - The candidate should have passed in 10+2 (Vocational)/ITI/ NERIST Certificate in any one of the following streams or trades.

  • Agricultural Engineering - Farm Equipment/Food Processing

  • Civil Engineering - Construction Technology (Draftsmanship/Surveyor)

  • Electronics and Communications Engineering - Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance

  • Electrical Engineering - Electrical Technology or Electrical Maintenance

  • Mechanical Engineering - Mechanical Craftsmanship/Automobile Technology and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&AC) are eligible.

NEE-II (PCB) - Candidate should have passed Class 12 (PCB)/ Higher Secondary (PCB) with Chemistry, Physics & Biology.

NEE 3

Details

Age Limit

The applicants should not be more than 40 years of age as on August 1, 2022

Educational Qualification

The candidates passed a 3-year diploma degree with minimum 60% marks/CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale or NERIST Diploma level with a minimum of CGPA 6.0

Exam pattern for NEE 2022

The test will be conducted in offline mode as a pen and paper based test and candidates have to register their answers on a separate answer sheet. The questions will be in multiple choice format and duration to answer them is 3 hours or 180 minutes. More information is provided below for the sake of the students in a tabular format:
