Ashoka University Scholarships

Ashoka University believes in providing a world-class education to students belonging to different sections of society irrespective of caste, creed, color & religion. More than 4500 students benefited from the Ashoka University scholarship grant, and 47% of students on campus are given financial aid. Since its inception, INR 511 Crore has been committed by Ashoka University Scholarship as Financial Aid.

• Ashoka University Chancellors’s Merit Scholarship: A total of 10 scholarships will be given to candidates admitted to the YIF Class of 2025 i.e 100 % waiver on tuition & residence fee. Candidates will be shortlisted based on academic, non-academic and/or professional excellence, combined with performance in the holistic selection process.
• Ashoka University Need-Based Financial Aid: Ashoka University’s need-based Financial Aid has been initiated to bridge the gap between the cost of the program and the ability to pay. 100% fee waiver on tuition, residence & meal fees. The university has collaborated with institutions that extend educational loans to students to complement their need-based financial aid.
• Ashoka University Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships: Ashoka University offers 25 scholarships in addition to the need-based financial aid available to all students, wherein 5 of the candidates are entitled to receive a waiver of 100% on Tuition and Residence, and the remaining 20 will receive a waiver of 100% on Tuition Fee.
• Ashoka University Financial Aid at UG & PG Level: Ashoka University has supported approximately 47% of UG students who have received some form of financial grant. Out of these, 61% have received partial tuition waivers, while 39% have received a minimum of 100% Tuition waiver or more (Hostel/Meals). For the students of the MA Economics Programme, the university has supported approximately 55% of students who have received some form of financial grant. Out of these, 47% have received partial tuition waivers, while 53% have received a minimum of 100% Tuition waiver or more (Hostel/Meals). The Financial Aid granted for the MA English Program at Ashoka University ranges from a 25% waiver on the Tuition Fee to a 100% waiver on the Tuition Fee, Residence, and meal costs.

Ashoka University Admission 2025

Ashoka University offers admission to various courses based on merit in the entrance examination conducted by the university. The students qualifying in the entrance examination have to appear for the interview. Admission to the M.A. in Liberal Studies is restricted to graduates of the Young India Fellowship. 

Ashoka University Campus Life & Infrastructure

Ashoka University's social and campus life is renowned for being lively and welcoming. Numerous clubs, student organizations, and cultural events are available at the university, giving students lots of chances to get involved and make new friends. Clubs at Ashoka include NEEV - the community service club, Abinaya & Kirdaar - the dance & theatre society, Music society, and more. College students all around the nation can collaborate with like-minded people and display their talents through Ashoka University's cultural calendar, Banjaara. Banjaara is Ashoka University’s annual intercollegiate cultural festival. In celebration of cultural heritage, Ashoka University hosts several haats that provide a wonderful venue for students and local artisans to showcase their skills.

The campus is set up with a variety of amenities and areas for students to hang out, study and socialize to promote a feeling of community. The university also frequently hosts performances, workshops and guest lectures all of which add to the vibrant and intellectually stimulating atmosphere.

Ashoka University provides top-notch facilities and services for the comfortable living of students on campus. Some of the facilities offered by the university are as follows:

• Classroom: Ashoka University has a total of 90 classrooms and 12 teaching and research classes across 4 academic blocks.
• Library: Ashoka University has a well-organized library with a wide collection of books, journals and magazines for all the departments. E-Resources are also available for the use of the students.
• Wi-Fi: The University has excellent Wi-Fi networking reaching out to all the departments, labs, and other technical places. The availability of Wi-Fi makes it quite easier for the students to access the resources.
• Hostels: The University provides hostel facilities to both boys and girls. Rooms in the hostel are spacious and well-maintained. The surrounding is clean and proper hygiene is maintained.
• ​Food Outlets: Several food outlets on campus are open till late at night to aid students with their late-night study sessions.

Ashoka University is situated in the Haryana district of Sonipat along the NH1. The highway connects Delhi to Karnal, Ambala, Chandigarh, and J & K. The campus is ten minutes from the border between Delhi and Karnal, in Haryana. Driving towards the campus of Panipat from Delhi, you will see a red-brick building to your right.

Ashoka University has a four-floor dining hall with a seating capacity of about 1050 students. It serves over 2,000 meals daily, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The dining menu is decided in consultation with the mess committee. An in-house bakery prepares fresh bread, savories, and desserts.

Popular Food Outlets: Subway, Shudh Desi Dhaba, Chai Shai, Hunger Cycle, Dosai, Chicago Pizza, and more — many open till late at night.

Ashoka University Transport Facilities

Ashoka provides shuttle services from Jahangirpuri Metro Station to the campus and back. These are run using Tempo Travellers and are available for students, staff, and visitors based on a fixed schedule.

Ashoka University Medical Services

The campus has a 16-bed Infirmary at the Sports Complex with 24×7 medical assistance. Services are run by Blue Circle Medi Services.
