Banasthali Vidyapith Gliding and Flying Club (BVGFC) was established in 2009. It is a constituent of Banasthali Vidyapith University, established in 1935 by educationists Hiralal Shastri and Ratan Shastri. The university later became Deemed University. It is a women's university. The institute is accredited by NAAC and NRIF.
It offers Student Pilot’s Licence (Aeroplanes), Private Pilot’s Licence (Aeroplanes), Commercial Pilot’s Licence (Aeroplanes), Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s Licence (Helicopters) CHPL, Private Pilot’s Licence (Helicopter), Assistance Flight Instructor’s Rating (Aeroplanes), Flight Instructor’s Rating (Aeroplanes), Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s Licence, Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s (Restricted) Licence, RTR Certificate, Airline Induction Course.

Flying has been an inseparable part of Banasthali’s broad-based learning programme since the early 1960s. Banasthali University started its flying activities with 3 aircraft, and training has been an uninterrupted activity. Govt. of India, Civil Aviation Department, has approved the Flying training activity. ( Approval of BVGFC )

Banasthali Vidhyapith Gliding and Flying Club has decided to train the professionals and the crew members to international standards. Admission is open, and the new batch starts on the 1st of every month.
Air Strip
Flying has been one of the activities introduced as early as 1962, even before Banasthali University got University status. A private licensed airfield of 50,191,418 sq. meters, dedicated only for training purposes, facilitates less traffic exercise in the air, which is a rare availability. The runway length of 3600 ft. and elevation of 1010 ft. are adequate for exercising. Coincidentally, it lies in proximity to Jaipur airfield (25 miles).
Hangar
The University owns a hangar which is 9,000 sq. ft., which can accommodate more than a dozen aircraft. It has all the latest precision tools and equipment, and the organisation is approved by the DGCA. It maintains a separate battery shop and workshop.
Flying Section
BVGFC has one Cessna-172 and two Cessna-152 in the existing fleet. There is a nice and comfortable lounge. The club also has, besides a briefing room, some modern classrooms with excellent facilities. There is a team of skilled and highly motivated, professionally qualified instructors to train the professionals.
Ground Classes
For the training, the Club will make use of some of the latest audio-visual aids, like an LCD Projector and a multimedia suite. In fact, this will be a Computer-Based Training (CBT) programme with a Language Lab and RT Communication Facilities. The Club has a well-stocked Library to assist in laying the foundation of the course. The classes follow the flying pattern as per the DGCA thoroughly.

Documentation and other forms of work details regarding guidance and counselling at different levels of flying would be undertaken by the designated office at Vidya Mandir.
