GLIM Chennai Scholarship 

Peer learning is an integral part of the learning experience in any MBA program, and especially for the Great Lakes One-Year Post-Graduate Program. Students with diverse professional and personal backgrounds bring in new perspectives and add value to the learning experience of the entire class. To encourage students from different backgrounds, Great Lakes is offering diversity-based scholarships to students from different underrepresented industries and with unique experiences.

Great Lakes is also offering merit-based scholarships to students who have demonstrated academic and professional excellence and enrich the peer group. A total of 40 diversity and merit-based scholarships worth Rs. 5 lakhs each will be awarded for the upcoming PGPM cohort, anda  minimum of 30% of the scholarships will be for female students in line with Great Lakes' objectives to be a preferred destination for female candidates. Great Lakes is also offering the Dr Bala V. Balachandran scholarships with a full tuition fee waiver for highly meritorious students

This is reflected both in the selection process and pedagogy of our One-Year MBA Program. The admission process is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the candidates on multiple dimensions encompassing personal and professional track record, academic performance, management aptitude and demonstrated competencies.

Valid CAT/GMAT/XAT+ scores. For the PGPM admission process 2026-27, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept scores of GMAT taken after 1st January 2023, CAT taken in 2024/2025, or XAT taken in 2025/2026.

NMAT 2024 onwards scores will additionally be accepted for PGPM 2026-27. You can enter scores from multiple attempts. Only the best score will be considered for your admissions.

• A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised institution
• Candidates with 2+ years of work experience are considered.
• Candidates with 2-3 years of work experience by 30th April 2026 are encouraged to apply for the One-Year Flagship PGPM. They are also eligible to apply for the Two-Year PGDM.

In case an eligible candidate would like to apply for both the programs, they may do so by filling out the application forms for both PGPM and PGDM separately. Candidates will be evaluated based on the respective program’s admission criteria. The admissions panel may also recommend the candidates for a specific program based on the assessment and program fit.

• Freshers and candidates with experience of less than 24 months strictly may apply to the Great Lakes PGDM Program
• Candidates with family business experience, or belonging to business families and planning to join the business after their MBA, can enrol for the PGPM - Family Business & Entrepreneurship program
• Great Lakes uses CAT scores only for screening applications for admissions, and IIMs have no role in the conduct of Great Lakes academic programs.
• Great Lakes is not an associate institute of XLRI and uses XAT scores only for screening applicants for admission. XLRI has no role to play in the conduct of any of the Great Lakes programs.
• All editions of GMAT - Classic, Focus and Online will be accepted.

Great Lakes uses NMAT scores only for screening applications for admissions, and NMIMS has no role in the conduct of Great Lakes academic programs. The Admission Process for Great Lakes programs are carried out only through the online application available on www.greatlakes.edu.in. Great Lakes Institute of Management has not authorised any third party to initiate applications on its behalf.

Great Lakes Institute of Management does not admit students under the Management Quota or any other form of reservation. Any third-party organisation or individual offering management quota seats for Great Lakes programs would be fraudulent, and applicants are requested not to approach such organisations or individuals.

GLIM Chennai offers admission to its various programs based on the national entrance exam, followed by profile evaluation, AI Proctored Video Interview, and a Personal Interview. The candidates need to fill out an application form available on the official website to be eligible for the admission process at the institute. The admission process for various courses offered at the institute is given below.

Admission to PGDM/MBA is based on CAT/GMAT/XAT score, followed by an AI proctored Video Interview and a Personal Interview. The candidates are shortlisted based on their entrance exam scores, academic scores & diversity, work experience and gender diversity.

Admission to PGPM is based on CAT/XAT/NMAT score, followed by Essay Writing, AI proctored Video Interview and Personal Interview.

Admission to PGXPM is based on Academic Performance, SOP, Work experience, and performance in the personal interview.

The Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai is located in a peaceful and green area near the East Coast Road (ECR) in Manamai, around 60–70 minutes from Chennai city. Spread across 32 acres, the campus offers a calm and eco-friendly environment that is perfect for learning and personal growth. The academic buildings are modern and well-equipped, with smart classrooms, seminar halls, and conference rooms that support interactive and engaging learning. The library is rich with books, journals, and digital resources to help students with their studies and research.

GLIM Chennai provides hostel facilities to its students. All programs at the institute are fully residential, so it is compulsory for students to stay in the college hostel. The hostels are equipped with the necessary facilities. Generally,the institute allots single occupancy rooms to its Executive MBA program students and double, triple sharing rooms to its MBA program students.
