Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) issues an official notification detailing the admission procedure, eligibility criteria, entrance test requirements, and available courses.
For many courses, admission is based on the university’s IPU CET Entrance Exam. For some professional courses (like B.Tech, MBBS, MBA, etc.), candidates must have attempted the national-level exam scores (such as JEE, NEET, CAT, etc.) are considered.
Candidates who apply successfully can download the admit card for the entrance test from the university portal.
Candidates appear for the IPU CET if applicable. For programs based on national-level exams, candidates must submit their scores for consideration.
The university declares IPU CET results or prepares a merit list based on the relevant exam scores. Candidates are ranked according to their performance.
Online counselling is conducted in multiple rounds. Candidates register for counselling, pay the counselling participation fee, and fill in their preferences for courses and colleges. Seats are allotted based on merit, preference, and availability.
Shortlisted candidates must verify their documents either online or at designated centres.
Candidates pay the admission fee to confirm their allotted seat. If satisfied with the allotment, they freeze the seat. Otherwise, they may participate in further counselling rounds.
Finally, admitted candidates must report to the allotted college/institute with original documents and fee receipts to begin their academic session.
