PES University Bangalore Scholarship

The college believes that money should not be a problem for the students when it comes to pursuing education. Education should be accessible to one and all irrespective of their financial, personal, and any kind of status. Even the caste or race or even nationality should not come in between the need of pursing and education. For this, the college has come up with enough scholarship schemes and opportunities so that most number of students can be helped with the same. 

The aim of the scholarships provided by the college is to help financially backward and even the meritorious students with waiver in the tuition fee as a reward. 

The different types of scholarships offered by the college are:

1. Corporate Scholarships - Many corporates offer scholarships for their students in the final year of their education recognizing their merit. This means that the students who have done exceptionally well in their academics get corporate scholarships. 
2. Research Assistantship - Students showing keen research intent can work under Professor’s as research associates and can be compensated for it. This is an amazing way to gain experience, learn from the professors directly and also gain money for the same. 
3. Teaching Assistantships - Students who display proven acumen towards teaching shall be compensated for assisting their Professors in teaching their students. This is again a great chance to earn money, earn experience of teaching, and meanwhile learn enough. 
4. Rural Scholarships - PES University offers free engineering education for select number of students coming from rural background every year. This is strictly to help those students who do not belong to the urban lifestyle. 
5. MRD Scholarships - 40% tuition fee waiver for the top 20% of students. If a student is among the top 20% of his/her class (section) in terms of CGPA for a particular academic year, then he/she will get a tuition fee waiver of 40% for the next academic year of study (executed on semester basis).

7. Distinction Awards - If a student secures a CGPA of 7.5 and above for a particular year, then he/she would receive cash prize money as a distinction award.

Some other scholarships are SAP Merit scholarships, semester 8 top 10% international internships, semester 6 top 10% travel grant, cognizant foundation awards, and more. 

One important thing to note is that, at PES, the college shall recognize and honour only those students with scholarships who showcase their merit after joining the college and not before they join. It is pretty clear. 

To avail these scholarships, the candidates must check out the scholarships details of the college either on the website or enquire about the same in the college office in the campus. The students who find themselves eligible for the scholarship must apply for the same and then only they will be eligible for attaining the scholarship or else it might miss out from them. 

The eligibility criteria depend upon the type of course the candidate is willing to apply at the institution. Those aspiring for graduation must have passed plus two from a recognized educational institution anywhere in India. Aspirants for postgraduate courses have to pass graduation in the relevant discipline from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India. The criteria for getting selected in the university for any course is the eligibility criteria. The first point to be considered for choosing the candidates is his or her qualifications. Applicants have to fulfil the eligibility, that is possess the required qualification. A pass in plus two is required to apply for graduation, students have to pass graduation in the relevant discipline to apply for postgraduate courses.

Performance in the qualifying exam will be analysed while providing the admission to students, students have to pass their qualifying degree with the required pass percentage. The documents of the applicants submitted while filling the application form will also be checked to know more about the students applying for courses.

Those who are selected will be likely appearing for an interview, where their documents will also be verified. Post verification, students will be provided seats based on criteria like performance in qualifying exam, student’s choice of the course, seat availability. Those who get a seat can join for classes.

In case if there is an entrance exam conducted, the performance in the entrance test will also be considered while providing the seat to a student along with factors mentioned above. PES University Bangalore Admission 

There are two ways in which the admissions happen in this college. The ways are through the national level entrance exams like CET and PESSAT. Both have their own procedure to follow. 

PESSAT 

The University has well defined processes and infrastructure in place administered by experienced teachers and administrators. The tests are designed to provide a credible measure of students’ aptitude and ability to cope up with the academic demands of the programs offered. To apply through PESSAT, the students have to visit the official website of the college and go to ‘get admission’ and click on ‘register’ under the PESSAT column. 

The students must also check the information on the available scholarships at this time itself to apply for those and not miss out on saving money on the tuition fee. 

General Procedure/KCET

1. B.Tech – Admissions are through KCET/ PESSAT/ JEE Mains entrance exams. Scroll down to check the eligibility criteria and method of admission for the program.

• Admission through KCET – Candidate to take KCET entrance test and attend counseling at the KCET cell to secure admission
• Admission through JEE Mains – Candidate to register for B.Tech (JEE) from https://www.pessat.com/ and appear for counseling at PES University to secure admission
• Admission through PESSAT – Candidate to register for B.Tech can take PESSAT entrance exam and appear for counseling at PES University to secure admission

2. B.Arch – Admissions are through KCET/PESSAT. NATA scores are mandatory for admission. Scroll down to check the eligibility criteria and method of admission for the program.

• Admission through PESSAT – Candidate to register for B.Archcan appear for the counseling conducted based on the NATA and 12th std/ 2nd PUC scores to secure admission

• Besides PESSAT and KCET, the test scores of UCEED, JEE Mains, PGCET, MAT, CMAT, CAT, GMAT, GRE, CLAT, LSAT, NATA and select other National level exams are considered. The consideration of exams is subject to the discretion of PES University.

The college also hosts regular events aimed at providing information to parents and prospective students. It is a very beneficial event for the students and the parents to understand the entire culture at PES. The candidates who are seriously interested in this process must keep an eye on these events and attend them. 

The process to apply for the courses is online and students have to visit the official website of the institution to submit applications for the academic programs. The procedure to be followed is mentioned below for the sake of the students:

1. They have to type the URL of the college they wish to apply in the browser of the computer and submit it to allow the website to download.
2. After the webpage is ready, candidates have to click the link for registration to create an account with username and password.

PES University Campus Life

The campus of the PES university Bangalore is designed as per the modern needs of the modern students. The campus is fully wi-fi campus because of the needs of the students and also because of the changing pattern of the studies for the students.

The campus offers beautiful spaces for studying, evolving, communicating, interacting, and living. There are a lot of tech activities involved inside the campus of the college. The students get a chance to participate in the process of discussing new ideas, developing them into research concepts and workable products. Some students consider this experience as a turning point in their careers as these have opened up a new world of possibilities for them. 

The campus included a lot of cultural activities for them where the students are given a chance to pursue their interests through diverse communities right from the debates to the famed PES band, the various clubs and teams reflect the wide range of personal and professional interests of their vibrant, student community. They even have the facility of air-conditioned auditorium for such events to happen. 

The students who are interested in sports are also given a chance to take part in many of them and grow as sports people. They are even given opportunities to represent the college in various Inter College championships. The college offers sports like cricket to basketball, athletics to yoga. Excellent coaching facilities allow them to hone their skills and PES teams have won much acclaim for their performance on the sports field.

Along with the sports, the students are also held responsible for different social activities as well. Social responsibilities include adoption of Govt Schools, blind School, environmental awareness, Blood Donation Camps, medical camps in villages, Icare Social Initiatives, foster homes, HIV Centers, teaching slum kids, voting awareness and organizing Samarpana to honor martyr soldiers. 

To let the students evolve in all genre, the college has different clubs like Pulse, Quotient Quiz, Ninaada, Aatmatrisha, Nautanki, Pixels, Sanskriti, Pitch Please, Maaya, and Cori for the different activities of the students. The students are given an opportunity to take part in these clubs in different activities and also lead the clubs to get leadership qualities imbibed within them. There are other more clubs like the Entrepreneurship cub, etc for the other activities and the development of the students. 

PES University Hostel

The college has a safe and secure hostel facilities for the college students. There is a separate boys and girls hostel in different hostel buildings. The hostel is equipped with all the latest facilities like wifi, modern rooms, laundry rooms, common chilling rooms, cot and cupboard, lockers, separate washrooms, etc.

There is a male and a female warden separately in both the hostels for keeping an eye on the needs of the students. Hygiene care is taken inside the hostel campus and regular cleaning is done to ensure that the students have a good life inside the hostels and feel they are living in a home away from their homes. 

There is a mess inside the hostel for providing food to the students. The students have to be inside the mess on time to have their meals. Proper care is taken to make sure that the students are getting healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals in the mess. Meals are prepared from all the healthy ingredients so there is no compromise on the health of the students. 

The ward boy and the ward women are there to help the students with any of their daily needs inside the hostel campus. For going out, strict regulations are there for the students to abide. Security guards are outside the hostel campus to ensure that no illegal or offensive activities are happening. There is an ATM inside the campus to help the students with any money related needs.
