Admission policy for sports scholarships and fellowships scheme

Numerous types of Scholarships have been introduced by the Parul University for inspiring meritorious students. The quantity of scholarship/fellowship and period of scholarship/fellowship is subject to change from time to time. Different full and partial sports scholarships, fellowship, stipends and fee relaxations offered by Parul University to deserving applicants (players/athletes) for admission year 2024-25 md onwards shall be as follows.

Sports at PU Cultural Scholarship

Cultural scholarships open doors for next generation cultural prodigies who are passion driven and full of unique creative abilities. Through this scholarship, we have extended the requisite academic resources to such talented individuals. The scheme is designed to align students with the passion and ability to explore the scope of cultural fields ranging from dance, drama and music to painting, sculpture and literature. This scholarship scheme is eligible for students who have proved their mettle in above referred activities and are desirous of joining PU for pursuing their higher studies. The focus of this scheme is to promote cultural involvement and hone the innate skills of the students, while also providing an all-encompassing education to enable them to excel in the field of their choice. Students also need to reflect a high code of conduct, significant social involvement, and active participation.

Unique Features of the Scholarship Scheme

• For those courses where the University determines the criteria of eligibility, the University has reserved 10% of the seats for the candidates who have excelled in co-curricular activities in their schooling/ + 2 programs.
• Those students, who have represented their school/college up to their 12th standard in Cultural/ Literary Activities at the State/National/International Level Competitions and have won prizes (I,II or III only), may be admitted to the degree programs of their choice up to 10% over and above the intake capacity under the quota for excelling in co-curricular activities.

The Candidates who Fulfil the Requisite Eligibility Criteria and Wish to Avail Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, Apart from Academic Credentials, Need to Submit the Following to the University:

• Recommendation Letter and 1 minute What’s App Videos by the Mentoring Institute or Academy or Private Tutor or Gurus.
• Documentary proofs showcasing Awards, Certificates won by students or Participation of students in activities/events.
• Minimum 2 references of individuals who are associated with the applicant in the same co-curricular activity.
• Students can apply with relevant testimonials at cultural.scholarships@paruluniversity.ac.in
• These scholarships shall be applicable for Bachelor and Master courses offered under the faculties of Engineering, Hotel Management, Architecture, Management, IT & Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Social Work, Law, Fine Arts, Library Science, Commerce, Design and Arts.

Perks

The University shall offer scholarships in the form of tuition fee waiver to those students who participate and win awards (first prize, second prize, gold medal, silver medal etc…) at different levels as follows:

• At District Level -25% of the tuition fees
• At State Level- 50% of the tuition fees
• At Zonal Level-75% of the tuition fees
• At National/International Level- 100% of the Tuition fees

Competitions-Students will receive complete support from PU in accelerating their goals. Furthermore, the students shall be encouraged and groomed by the best mentors for the state and national level competitions.

Defence Scholarship

Parul University (PU) is introducing a scholarship scheme for the students who have a defence forces background. Through this noble initiative we seek to honour the Defence Forces for their Unparalleled feats and sacrifices for our nation. Through this scheme our focus is to extend the requisite resources to the students, while also providing an all encompassing education to enable them to excel in the field of their choice. Also, amongst the many cells of PU, the Armed Forces Cell is the feather to our cap as it serves as a medium to support, train and motivate the interested students to join the defence forces. With all this and more, a generous scholarship like this is too great to dodge, so grab this opportunity at the earliest!

Guidelines for defence scholarship

• With a view to facilitate access to higher education, Parul University, Vadodara is providing the following scholarships to encourage our dedicated (Officers/Soldiers in the Defence Forces) and their dependents. The services that have been included are for the- Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Indian Coast Guard.
• Scholarship Scheme for Serving Defence Personnel (those who are nominated through study leave) and Retired Defence Personnel.
• The scholarship listed below is for all regular Courses only.
• Categorization of recipients for eligibility relaxation and Scholarship for serving officers is given in table 1 below:
• Scholarship Scheme for Dependents of Defence personnel will be as given under in table2.

Terms and Conditions for Scholarship

Scholarship as stated above is subject to verification and authentication of the information, certificates and documents as required by the University.

In case, an applicant is eligible for Scholarship as stated above as well as other Scholarship / Financial aid /monetary benefit scheme or policy of Parul University then he / she has to opt for only one scheme of his/her choice.

Scholarship as stated above is offered at the time of admissions only and the applicant has to apply for the same at the time of filling Application for Admissions or before the date prescribed by the University.

Scholarship as mentioned above is applicable on Course fee as prescribed for a term/semester under the Course details in the Prospectus for the concerned year. The benefit of Scholarship will not be applicable in case of fee for various other requirements/facilities like Backlog/re-appear/examination fee etc. as mentioned under the head ‘Other Fee’ in General Admission Guidelines of the Prospectus.
