CDOE of JMI: Last date to apply is great 30 November

CDOE of JMI is inviting applications for admission into online diploma, certificate and postgraduate online programmes. The last date to apply for various courses is November 30.

About CDOE of JMI

CDOE is Centre for Distance and Open Education which is run Jamia Millia Islamia the noted educational institution. The centre was earlier established in 2002 September.

CDOE of JMIIt was known as Centre for Distance and Open Learning(CDOL) and later it was redesignated as CDOE.

The objectives of the CDOE of JMI are provision of space for higher education to those who are inaccessible to the benefits of formal system of education and to take education at the doorstep of the learner.

CDOE of JMI to provide the fully Online Degree programmes launching from the session 2021-22. The Centre aims to make optimum of use techonological advancement in imparting the education through the online mode and fecilitate the learners with ease.

The courses
CDOE of JMI is offering Bachelors in Business Administration, BCom, Bachelor of Arts, MA English, MA Hindi, MA History, MA Urdu, MA Sociology. The other courses offered by CDOE of JMI are MCom, Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, Post Graduate Diploma in Geoinformatics.

The eligibility
Candidates willing to apply for undergraduate courses at CDOE of JMI should have passed plus-two from a recognised institution.

Similarly, applicants willing to study postgraduate programmes through CDOE of JMI should have passed bachelors degree from a recognised institution.

Students willing to apply for postgraduate diploma through CDOE of JMI must have passed under graduation in any discipline from a recognised institution.

CDOE of JMIHow to apply
The procedure to apply for the courses offered by CDOE of JMI is online. Candidates have to visit the official website ‘https://jmi.ucanapply.com/univer/public/secure?app_id=UElZMDAwMDA0Ng==’

Soon after the webpage downloads, the candidates have to click the button ‘New Registration’ and take up registration to obtain username and password.

Post obtaining username and password, candidates can come back to the same webpage where they clicked to take up registration. This time they should click ‘Sign In’ and login with help of username and password obtained during registration.

They should login and start applying for course of their choice being offered by CDOE of JMI.
Applicants should provide the required information, upload required documents, pay the registration fee and submit the application form for courses offered by CDOE of JMI.

Candidates applying for courses being offered by CDOE of JMI should pay a registration fee of Rs 500.

Important dates
The registration for courses offered by CDOE of JMI began on 10 November. The last date to apply is 30 November. The document verification and submission of fees will take place from 1 December onwards.

Candidates must complete all the formalities regarding admission by 6 December. The applications submitted to CDOE of JMI after the last date for submission.

CDOE of JMIForeign students/NRIs
Foreign students, Non-Resident Indians and foreign diplomats in India can also apply for admission with CDOE of JMI.

Hard copy of duly completed application form in all respect along with supporting documents should be submitted to:

The Office of the Foreign Students’ Advisor will determine/verify equivalence of their
respective degrees.

After clearance of admission application form from the Office of the Foreign Students’ Advisor, a candidate will be informed by email and asked to complete the admission formalities along with submission of prescribed admission fee in equivalence of Indian currency through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Jamia Millia Islamia and payable at New Delhi.

The foreign students/NRIs have to submit the following documents along with the application:

(a) Copy of valid Passport

(b) Proof of age/ class X mark sheet

(c) Mark sheet of class XII or equivalent class

(d) Mark sheet of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Degree (in case of admission to PG courses)

(e) Copy of valid passport of parent working abroad (in case of NRIs)

(f) Translated and attested copy of valid Work permit/License to work of parent (in case of NRIs)

(g) Translated and attested copy of valid residence permit of parent (in case of NRIs)

(h) Letter from the employer of the parent (in case of NRIs)

(i) Affidavit on Rs. 10 stamp paper from the parent for financial support (in case of NRIs)

(j) NRI Status Certificate issued by the Indian Embassy in the concerned country

(k) In case an intervening period/gap is involved, a Certificate/Affidavit from a Class I Gazetted Officer/Notary Public for the entire intervening period/gap showing candidate’s preoccupation after leaving the institution last attended (in case of NRIs)
