The last date earlier was 15 October 2024 for closing of CLAT 2025 Application Submission, now that has been changed to 22 October 2024.
Application submission for the test commenced on 15 July 2024. The exam will be held on 1 December 2024 from 2 PM to 4 PM. More details are available about the exam and the process to apply for the test.

What is CLAT?
CLAT is expanded into Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and is a national level entrance exam conducted to provide admission into law courses at graduate and post graduate level. Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) conducts the exam.
The law courses are offered by 22 national law universities around the country. This national level law admission test is conducted once every year and CLAT 2025 is meant for 2025.

Who can submit CLAT 2025 application?
The eligibility criteria for taking up CLAT 2025 application submission depends on the type of the course candidate is trying to gain admission into.

Undergraduate
Candidates focused on undergraduate programmes of law through CLAT 2025 application submission must have passed plus-two from any stream.
The pass percentage must be 45 for candidates from General category. The same for SC/ST/PwD category candidates is 40.
Students of plus-two who would be appearing for their qualifying exam also can take up CLAT 2025 application submission.
However, these candidates have to produce the proof of passing plus-two exam by the time of admission.
Postgraduate
Applicants willing to seek admission into post graduate law courses through CLAT 2025 must be an LL.B degree holder or holder of its equivalent examination with a minimum of 50 percent pass marks.
Those from SC/ST/PwD category candidates have to pass the qualifying exam with a pass percentage of 45 at the minimum.
Even candidates appearing for their qualifying examination also submit CLAT 2025 application. However they have to produce the proof of their passing the qualifying exam at the time of admission.
The registration fee for applying for graduate and post graduate courses through CLAT 2025 application is the same.

Exam Pattern
The pattern of exam is different for graduate and postgraduate admissions.
Graduate exam
The duration of CLAT 2025 for graduate admission is of two hours duration and has 120 questions. Each question has one mark. A wrong answer will lead to deduction of 0.25 mark.
The subjects are English Language, Current Affairs, including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques.
There is negative marking, 0.25 Mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Post Graduate exam
The duration of CLAT 2025 exam for post graduate course admission is for two hours and will have 120 questions.
Each question in CLAT 2025 exam will be of one mark. A wrong answer will lead to deduction of 0.25 mark each.
Questions will be from subjects – Constitutional law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Family Law.
Questions will also be asked from Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law and Labour & Industrial Law. There is negative marking, 0.25 Mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
How to submit CLAT 2025 application?

1. The URL mentioned above must be typed into the browser and submitted to allow the website to download.
2. Once the website is ready, candidates can read the information about the exam and then click the button CLAT 2025. The button can be seen on the top right side of the webpage.
3. Clicking the above button will open another webpage with another URL ‘https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2025/’
4. When the webpage with above URL opens, candidates can register and obtain an account with username and password.
5. Soon after the account is created, candidates can log in and start filling out the application form.
Those who have successfully completed CLAT 2025 application submission can alone download admit card. The process is mentioned below for the sake of the applicants:
1. Type the URL mentioned above in the browser of the computer and then submit it to allow the website to download.
2. Once the website is ready, candidates can click the link for admit card.
3. Clicking the link may open another webpage with a different URL.
4. When the page with another URL opens, candidates can provide their application number, date of birth and other required details and submit them to view the admit card.
5. Once the admit card is visible, it can be downloaded and then a printout can be taken.
