Dr Vishal Narayan appointed Associate Dean at the University of Connecticut School of Business

Dr Vishal Narayan, a distinguished academic and alumnus has been appointed Associate Dean of Graduate Business Programs at the University of Connecticut School of Business (UConn).
He is academic and alumnus of Delhi University and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). and UConn is a top-ranked public business school in the United States.


UConn’s MS in Business Analytics & Project Management (BAPM) program alone currently enrolls 118 Indian students, underscoring the university’s growing appeal among Indian postgraduate aspirants.

Dr Vishal brings a wealth of international experience to the role. He earned his Ph.D. from New York University in 2007 and previously taught at Cornell University and the National University of Singapore before joining UConn in 2022.

As a Professor of Marketing, his research spans marketing analytics, emerging markets, and social media, with publications in leading academic journals.
A strong advocate for accessible, value-driven education, Dr Vishal led the redesign of UConn’s MBA programs to better align with post-pandemic student needs: emphasizing flexibility, innovation, and career readiness.
His appointment reflects the growing global impact of Indian-origin academics and serves as an inspiring example for Indian students aspiring to lead on the international stage.
His published research studies how consumers’ online health discussions change due to health policy, and how increases in worker minimum wages in the restaurant industry affect consumer perceptions of restaurant service.
