The IIITH UGEE 2024 application form was made available online on February 6, 2024. The application deadline is April 1, 2024. Candidates seeking admission to IIIT Hyderabad’s dual degree programmes (B. Tech and MS) must complete an online application form in order to take the entrance exam. The IIITH UGEE 2024 exam will take place on May 4, 2024. The exam dates are available on the official website.

The application fees for IIITH UGEE is INR 2500 (general category) and INR 1250 (female candidates). The application form and application cost must be completed online prior to filling out and submitting the application form. Candidates will not be permitted to pay the price offline.

• Candidates who successfully submit their IIITH UGEE 2024 application form will be able to download their admit card using their login credentials.
• The exam authority will not send the IIIT UGEE admit card 2024 via email or post.
• Candidates who have been shortlisted for this exam must pass an interview in order to be admitted. The interview will take place from June 11 to 13, 2024.             

The IIITH UGEE is held in CBT method for three hours. The IIITH UGEE exam pattern will include information such as the exam duration, media, question type, marking scheme, and other details. The exam has two sections: SUPR (Subject Proficiency Test) and REAP (Research Aptitude Test).

Candidates should practise as many sample papers as possible and take mock exams. The mock test window opens before the exam, and applicants can use it to assess their level of preparation. Revise all of the topics covered in your Class 11 and 12 books in accordance with the syllabus.

Candidates will be shortlisted first based on their SUPR score, followed by their REAP score. To gain admission to IIITH Hyderabad, qualified candidates must go through an interview process. The final offer of admission is totally determined by their interview performance.

What is IIITH UGEE?

The IIITH UGEE is an entrance exam for IIIT Hyderabad’s B.Tech and MS dual degree programmes. Students who wish to join in the B.Tech AI programme must have a JEE Main score of at least 100. JEE Mains, UGEE 2023 (Undergraduate Entrance Exam), SPEC, Olympiad/KVPY, DASA, and Lateral Entry are some of the admission options for the B. Tech degree at IIIT Hyderabad.

IIITH UGEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to apply for the IIITH UGEE 2024.

• Candidates must have finished class 12 with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Candidates must have completed English as a compulsory subject in grades ten and twelve.
• There is no age limit for the IIITH UGEE 2024.
• Candidates taking the class 12 exam in 2024 are also able to apply.
• Candidates who have already finished a degree course may also apply. However, they will be accepted into the second year.
• Applicants representing India in international olympiads such as informatics, science, mathematics, physics, or languages in grades 11 or 12 are eligible to apply through KVPY/Olympiad. 

IIITH UGEE 2024 Exam Pattern

• The UGEE 2024 exam will take place online. The exam runs for three hours.
• The UGEE 2023 question paper is given into two parts.
• Section 1: Subject Proficiency Test (SUPR) to assess subject knowledge.
• Section 2: Research Aptitude Proficiency Test (REAP) to assess candidates’ critical and creative thinking abilities.
• The SUPR test lasts 60 minutes, whereas the REAP takes 120 minutes.
• The question paper is an MCQ format, with four alternatives for each question.
• There is no negative marking in Section 1. Each wrong question in section 2 will be marked negatively.

IIITH UGEE 2024 Admission Process

The IIITH UGEE admissions process is based on the entrance exam. Candidates are selected for interviews based on their SUPR and REAP scores in the following way:

• First, candidates are shortlisted based on their SUPR results.
• The shortlisted individuals are then assigned ranks based on their REAP scores.
• These final rankings are utilised by IIIT Hyderbad to select candidates for interviews. The interview will take place from June 11 to 13. The ultimate admittance decision is dependent on the candidate’s performance during the interview. 

IIITH UGEE 2024 Interview Process

Qualified candidates in UGEE 2024 will be invited for an interview based on their entrance test scores. The authority will create a ranking list based on the combined scores of the written test and interview.

• Panel: Usually consists of two faculty members.

• Applicants having a KVPY ranking of up to 5000 may apply.
• There will be a screening interview.
• The top 100 KVPY rank holders from the applicant pool will be considered for the interview round. 

IIITH UGEE 2024 Expected Cutoff

IIITH UGEE 2024 Counselling

Candidates who performed well in both the entrance exam and the interview will be invited for counselling depending on their ranking. Candidates must be present at the site on the day of their counselling with all original documents. On the day of counselling, the documents are verified. Failure to carry the documents would result in the cancellation of admission to IIIT Hyderabad.

Seat Allotment

Eligible candidates who pass the entrance exams and interview will be assigned seats. The seat allocation process involves several rounds.

• In each phase, candidates will be given a deadline to either take the seat by paying the required fees or decline it.
• Candidates who fail to pay the fees would lose their seats.
• If an applicant is not offered a seat in one round, he or she may proceed to the next round.
• However, in order to go to the next round, an applicant must consent.
• For the second and subsequent rounds, a one-time payment (Rs 10,000 for seat allocation and Rs 10,000 for tuition fee advance) is required.
