IIT Kanpur will soon turn centre of attraction when Sankalan 24 will be conducted. This is a national level Civil Engineering Conclave.

Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur will be hosting the program from 27 to 28 January 2024.

The event is being organized by the department’s student-run society, the Society of Civil Engineers (SoCE).

Aim of the event Sankalan is to establish itself as a central hub for knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaboration in civil engineering.

The event will have some contests too. They are Spaghetti Bridge Design Challenge, Optimizing Water Resources for Sustainable Agriculture, Remote Satellite Design Challenge and Crack Detection–Image Classification Challenge using Machine Learning which addresses real-life problems.

Participants will have the opportunity to creatively showcase their solutions with a chance to win prizes exceeding Rs. 1 lakh.
