Candidates aspiring to study degree in law have a news worth noting. The applications for AP LAWCET 2020 exam being conducted by Sri Krishnadevaraya University are made available online and the submission for that has begun from 11 March itself. The last date to submit the application is 10 April without late fee.
The admission through this is done for LLB degree programme of three year and five year duration. The qualification for the the three year LLB course is a pass in any graduation with minimum 45% pass marks for general category candidates. The same for BCs is 42% and 40% for SCs and STs.
The aspirant willing to apply for five year LLB course must be a pass in intermediate (plus-two) or its equivalent with a minimum pass of 45% for general category candidates. The same is 42% for BC and 40% for SC/ST category candidates.
In case the money is debited and the account is debited and the website gets disconnected before payment receipt generation, applicants can check their payment status using ‘Know Your Payment Status’ option on the official website by providing their details.
If the message obtained reads ‘Payment Details Not Found,’ candidate is requested to go for a fresh payment and the amount for the failure transaction will be refunded to their debited bank account in 7 to 10 working days. Just like in any other competitive exam, candidates attending this exam must also have to get required cut-off to qualify in the exam. While there is no fixed qualifying marks for SC and ST category candidates, cut-off for general category candidates is 25% (42 marks out of 120 marks).
The last date to submit application with late fee payment of Rs 500 is 10 April, the date of the, last date to submit application form with payment of late fee of Rs 1000 is 28 April. Last date to submit application with late fee of Rs 2000 is 30 April. Candidates can take up correction in application forms already submitted from 20 to 21 April. The hall tickets will be available for download on ‘sche.ap.gov.in‘ from 3 May onwards and the AP LAWCET will be held on 8 May from 11 am to 12:30 pm.
The cutoff release is expected to be on third week of May 2020. Counselling will begin on second week of October. The counselling process will be organised through online mode, it will be done in various rounds depending on the vacancy of seats. Counselling will comprise registration, document verification, option filling, seat allotment and reporting to the allotted colleges or universities. Seats will be provided based on the available vacancies, choice of the candidates, performance in the exam.
