LT announces vacancies – L&T, the well-known construction company has announced vacancies for a few positions based in Chennai in Tamilnadu. The vacancies are Head (Safety), SCM and Manager-Corporate Insurance.

$ Conducting toolbox meetings
$ Being a part of the project safety council and leading all efforts to enhance safety
$ Ensuring that injury logs and reports are completed and submitted to related government agencies
$ Promoting safe practices at the job site
$ Enforcing safety guidelines
$ Training and carrying out drills and exercises on managing emergency situations.
$ Conducting investigations of all accidents and near-misses.
$ Identifying potential safety or fire hazards and taking necessary actions and making recommendations to eliminate the hazards
$ Conducting safety inspection to analyze safety risks and evolving lasting solutions to eliminate contributory elements
$ Effectively monitoring and carrying out onsite and offsite emergency mock drills as part of Pre Incident Planning Activity
$ Contributing significantly towards implementing Internal Safety Audits at construction site and operating plants
Responsibilities:
$ To manage Pan-India Logistics operations and be responsible for Strategic & Operational Excellence
$ To develop strategy roadmaps & budgets for transportation and ensuring alignment towards business goals
$ To lead digital transformation of logistics operations to bring in real time visibility & optimizing transportation spend
$ To implement and execute central warehousing concept for consumables for eliminating material wastages, optimizing inventory levels and improving parts availability
$ To identify the opportunities for process improvements and develop a culture of continuous improvement in highly dynamic project environment.
$ To build high performance team, ensuring fair performance management and people development
$ To ensure smooth and trouble free execution of Logistics operations including effective management of related formalities and documentation
$ To interface with a number of stakeholders both within and outside the organisation effectively
Manager-Corporate Insurance
Age: 35 Years – 40 Years
Location: Chennai
Qualification: Professional qualification in Finance
Experience: 15 to 20 years

$ Handling policy and claims of Marine Insurance
$ Handling plant protection insurance
