SAAT 2021: Registration for the great test open till 31 May

SAAT 2021 registration has begun and candidates wishing to gain admission in Siksha O Anusandhan Deemed to be University to study various courses can apply till 31 May.

About SAAT 2021

SAAT 2021 is expanded into Siksha O Anusandhan University Admission Test 2021.

SAAT 2021This is a national level entrance test conducted every year by Siksha O Anusandhan Deemed to be University to offer admission into various courses offered by it.

Candidates who pass SAAT 2021 will be called to attend counselling process for admission.

Also candidates who have studied Diploma in Hotel Management, Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy can gain admission into regular courses through SAAT-2021 under lateral entry scheme.

Courses offered
Siksha O Anusandhan offers various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in various streams.

The streams are Agriculture, Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, Management and hotel management.

Point to remember
Admission into certain courses offered at the educational institution is done based on entrance tests other than SAAT 2021.

Admission into medical courses – MBBS/BDS/MD and MS/MDS is through NEET.

Similarly, admission into law courses is offered based on CLAT and LSAT scores also.

LPU College admission

Scores in JEE Mains is also considered for admission into engineering courses.

Those who have passed exams like LSAT or JEE Mains are likely exempted from appearing for SAAT 2021.

Eligibility
Undergraduate
Applicants for undergraduate courses through SAAT 2021 must have passed plus-two.

The pass percentage in the qualifying exam is 50 for SAAT 2021 applicants from General/OBC categories.

The same for candidates of SC/ST categories is 40.

Candidates applying for admission into science courses through SAAT 2021 must have passed plus-two with maths, physics, chemistry, biology (zoology and botany) as subjects.

Applicants of other undergraduate courses must be a pass in plus-two from any stream with required pass percentage.

Post graduate
Students seeking admission into postgraduate courses must have passed bachelors degree in the respective discipline in which they want to pursue postgraduation.

The pass percentage in the qualifying exam is 50 for SAAT 2021 applicants from General/OBC categories.

The same for candidates of SC/ST categories is 45.

SAAT 2021How to apply
The procedure to apply for SAAT 2021 is online.

Students willing to apply for SAAT 2021 must visit the official website ‘https://www.admission.soa.ac.in/saat’

Post download of the webpage on clicking the above url, individuals can scroll down the page and find the button ‘SAAT 2021 Application Form’

Soon after a new webpage downloads on clicking the above button, candidates must provide the required information like their name, mobile number, email id, address for communication.

A passport size photograph has to be uploaded. The size of the photo must not exceed 200 kb.

The other documents

Applicants of SAAT 2021 must also keep other documents like 10th class marksheets, 12th class marksheets, marksheets of bachelors degree.

Individuals who want to claim privileges like reservation, must also keep the required certificates ready.

SAAT 2021 applicants can keep softcopies of these certificates ready so as to produce them when asked.

Even if it is not required to produce the documents at the time registering for SAAT 2021, applicants could be asked at a later stage of admission to produce them. Individuals should be ready to produce the copies.

Important dates
Registration for SAAT 2021 started on 5 February this year. The last date to apply for the exam is 31 May.

The date of the exam will be intimated later. Exam is likely to be conducted in June, however, the exact date and timing will be available on the official website of SAAT 2021 in due course of time.

Hallticket for the exam will be available for download on the official website of the exam at an appropriate time.

Individuals must visit the website at regular intervals to check for the availability of link to download the admitcard.

Point to remember

Halltickets will be issued to candidates whose application forms for SAAT 2021 are complete in all respects.

Admit card should contain the name of the candidate, information about the exam centre, their subject and the address of the candidate.

In case of errors with regards to above details on the admitcard, applicants must take it to the notice of the Director (Admissions).

SAAT 2021Exam pattern
The test is conducted in online mode across various cities in India. The questions in SAAT are in multple choice format.

The duration of the exam is three hours and every correct answer gets four marks and one mark would be deducted for every wrong answer.

Lessons related to subjects taught regularly in plus-two classes and degree classes have to be studied to prepare for SAAT.
