TANCET 2023: Great eligibility criteria is out

TANCET 2023 exam eligibility criteria are announced and candidates can know it from the official website of the exam. TANCET which is also known as Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test is an entrance test conducted for candidates seeking admission into post-graduate courses in colleges located across Tamil Nadu.

Students who wish to join ME (Masters in Engineering), MTech (Masters in Technology), MArch (Masters in Architecture), or MPlan (Masters in Planning) have to pass TANCET which is conducted once a year. TANCET 2023 is meant to be conducted this year (2023).

Anna University conducts the exam which happens in offline mode. The registration schedule for TANCET 2023 will be announced soon. Candidates who are planning to apply for the test can regularly visit the official website for more information.

The condition of eligibility required to apply for each course through TANCET 2023 is now available on the official website. Students can visit it and click the link for it which will display the eligibility criteria in another separate file. The criteria of eligibility for each course in TANCET 2023 is being mentioned below for the sake of the students:

TANCET 2023 ME/MTech/MArch/MPlan Eligibility

A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA, and ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) in the qualifying degree examinations.

TANCET 2023 MCA Eligibility

A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in B.C.A. or B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent), or a pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (in disciplines other than the ones mentioned above) with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduation Level and obtained at least 50 % (45% in the case of BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA and ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) in the qualifying degree examinations.

TANCET 2023 MBA Eligibility

A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA, and ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) in the qualifying degree examination.

How to know the eligibility for TANCET 2023

Candidates have to visit the official website of TANCET 2023 and have to click the button ‘Degree Eligibility’ and there will be another page opening up which will have the eligibility criteria for each subject in detail. The same is being presented in a tabular format below for the sake of the students:

1	MBA	A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA, and ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) in the qualifying degree examination. a) 10 + 2 + 3 / 4/5 years pattern (or) b) 10 + 3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern (or) c) B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm. (or) d) AMIE with 2 years full-time Teaching Experience / Industrial Experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work and enrolled before 31.05.2013. An experience certificate shall be produced by the candidate. i. 10 + 2 + AMIE (or) ii. 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.
2	MCA	A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in B.C.A. or B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent), or a pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (in disciplines other than the ones mentioned above) with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduation Level and obtained at least 50 % (45% in the case of BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA and ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) in the qualifying degree examinations. a) 10 + 2 + 3 / 4/5 years pattern (or) b) 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern (or) c) AMIE with 2 years full-time Teaching Experience / Industrial Experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work and enrolled before 31.05.2013. An experience certificate shall be produced by the candidate. i. 10 + 2 + AMIE (or) ii. 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.
3	ME/MTech/MArch/MPlan	a. A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA, and ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) in the qualifying degree examinations. i. B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. Degree Programmes (or) ii. B.Pharm Degree Programmes (or) iii. Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, which is prescribed. b. Candidates with Section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates (e.g. AMIE) of the Institution of Engineers and other similar certificates of various professional bodies viz. Aeronautical Society of India etc., recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and enrolled before 31.05.2013 are considered to be equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree holders, only with 2 years regular full-time experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate shall be produced by the candidates. i. 10 + 2 + AMIE (or) ii. 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.
