It is the best and the most important central recruiting agency of India that is engaged in recruiting Group A officers of the Government of India. This is done under various sub departments like Union government civil services, union government architecture services, union government natural resource services, and lots more.

All the posts that come under Group A under different professions are taken care by UPSC. The different professions are civil, defence, architecture, engineering, health science, natural resources, law services, and functionality services.
But, all of these only under the Indian government category. In short, if a candidate cracks UPSC exams and gets a job in any of these categories, it will be a government job in that particular category.
The Part XIV of the constitution of India have granted the charter to the agency. It is also titled as the Services Under the Union and the States.
It was originally established as the Public Service Commission on 1st October 1926. Then it was reconstituted as the Federal Public Service Commission. It was done under the Government of India Act, 1935.
And then finally after India’s Independence it got renamed as Union Public Service Commission. Its headquarters is in New Delhi. This commission functions through its own secretariat. The current chairman of UPSC since August 2020 is Pradeep Kumar Joshi.

UPSC Civil services 2021 exam time table have been released. The main exam will start from January 7th. The news was released on the official website of UPSC which is upsc.gov.in.
So, as mentioned above the UPSC civil services 2021 exams will begin from January 7th and it will continue up till January 16th. There will be a total of 9 papers that will be conducted in the morning and in the afternoon sessions.
The exams will start from 9 am. This will be the morning session. The exams will continue up till the afternoon sessions till 12 pm. The next set of UPSC civil services 2021 exams will start from 2 pm and will be continued till 5 pm in the evening.
A detailed application form abbreviated as DAF is also released by the commission for the UPSC civil services 2021. A lot of more detailed information that is necessary must be filled out by the clients in this form. If the candidates wish to change their exam centres, then a provision for them have also been rolled out.

There are a lot of reasons why a candidate might want to change his or her exam centre. To make it easy for the candidates, the commission has decided to come up with this option. The commission wants that every candidate must do everything at total ease. Hence, this option was rolled out for them. This can be easily done while filling the DAF 1.
The last date to fill DAF 1 is December 1st, 2021. All the information on the same could be found on the official website of UPSC. It is very important to fill the DAF 1 before the last date because after this, you will not be allowed to fill this form. And, it is mandatory to fill out this form.
