National Exit Test (NExT) Exam 2024-2025: Know all you need 

The National Exit Test (NExT) is a new licensing exam for aspiring medical professionals in India. It replaces the NEET PG and FMGE exams, aiming to standardize medical education across the country. 

What is the NExT Exam? 

The NExT Exam rollout starts in May 2024, with Step 1 in August 2025 and Step 2 in February 2026. 

When is the NExT Exam happening? 

Final-year MBBS students and foreign medical graduates with a valid MBBS degree and completed internship are eligible 

Who can take the NExT Exam? 

Applications will be available online through AIIMS Delhi. Watch out for official announcements for specific dates and procedures. 

How do I apply for the NExT Exam? 

NExT PG is your gateway to postgraduate medical courses. It tests both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through a three-day, two-shift exam valid for three years 

What is the NExT PG Exam about?

The NExT Exam covers six core medical subjects: Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Ophthalmology. 

What will be on the NExT Exam? 

The NExT Exam is a two-step process. Step 1 is an online theoretical exam, while Step 2 assesses your practical skills through offline assessments. You need at least 50% in each step to qualify
