Amity Institute of Disaster Management was a unique initiative undertaken by the Amity University for imparting value based education. Situated in one of the fastest growing hubs of India – Noida, Amity Institute of Disaster Management was set up in the year 1986 so as to create awareness, educate, train and prepare talented people to become excellent professionals in Disaster Management and serve for the betterment of the nation and its public. Though it is a short term course, it strives to include a broad category of issues of disaster management. Besides the theoretical sessions, the Institute ensures that the students participate in research as well as project work for understanding the niche areas of disaster managements.
