LPU's campus is in Phagwara, Punjab, on the Jalandhar-Delhi G.T. Road. LPU gives its address as Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar-Delhi G.T. Road, Phagwara, Punjab 144411. It is often called LPU Jalandhar, but the campus and its postal address are in Phagwara.

For Admission 2027, LPU lists B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering at Rs 1,60,000 per semester (Rs 3,20,000 a year) before any scholarship, plus an examination fee of Rs 5,000 a semester and a one-time uniform fee of Rs 4,000. With an LPUNEST or Class 12 scholarship in phase 1 (till 25 April), the semester fee drops to Rs 48,000 (category A+), Rs 80,000 (A), Rs 96,000 (B) or Rs 1,12,000 (C). LPU charges its programme fee per semester, with two semesters a year, and each semester's fee is paid before the previous semester's teaching ends. The fee shown before a scholarship depends on the admission phase, and the scholarship percentage falls in later phases. On 13 October 2026, 123 programmes showed Admission 2027 fees and the rest still showed Admission 2026 fees.

For the 2026-27 academic year, LPU's hostel rooms cost Rs 72,000 (5 to 8 seater, non-AC) to Rs 1,80,000 (1-seater AC studio) a year, room only. A 4-seater non-AC room is Rs 83,700 and a 4-seater AC room Rs 92,700. The vegetarian mess is extra: Rs 37,800 (two meals) to Rs 45,000 (four meals), or Rs 52,200 a la carte, a year. LPU had not published 2027-28 charges on 13 October 2026.

LPUNEST 2027 registration opened on 29 September 2026. For B.Tech., the first schedule's last date to apply and book a slot is 15 January 2027; the test runs from 10 January to 5 February 2027 remotely or from 20 January to 5 February 2027 at test centres, and results come on 8 February 2027. LPU usually adds later schedules; in 2026 they ran in March and April.

For B.Tech. CSE, LPU's 2027 scholarship is 70%, 50%, 40% or 30% of the programme fee in categories A+, A, B and C for admission in phase 1, falling to 45%, 30%, 20% and 10% from 1 August. The category comes from the LPUNEST score or Class 12 marks (95% and above for A+). National rank holders can get up to 100% under LPU RISE.

LPU states a NAAC A++ grade with a score of 3.68 on a four-point scale. In NIRF 2025 it is ranked 49th overall and 31st among universities, and 13th in pharmacy, 17th in agriculture, 24th in architecture and planning and 26th in law.

LPU is a private university, set up by the Punjab legislature under the Lovely Professional University Act, 2005 (Punjab Act No. 25 of 2005) and sponsored by the Lovely International Trust. It is recognised by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act.

Register on admission.lpu.in for the 2027 session. For B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA, MCA, design, pharmacy and law programmes, take LPUNEST (kit Rs 1,000 soft copy or Rs 1,500 printed); many other undergraduate programmes admit on Class 12 merit. Confirm the seat with Rs 10,000, which is adjusted against the semester fee.
