Sher – I- Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) is a well-known medical college of Jammu and Kashmir which is managed by the Muslim Medical Trust and was established in the year of 1988. The college is located on the Srinagar - Baramulla Highway. SKIMS is a Deemed University and premier medical center of India which is engaged in providing the high-quality patient care academic courses for students so that they can produce trained and skilled manpower for the state. The college offers various Postdoctoral, Doctoral, Postgraduate and Undergraduate medical programs which is recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC). The admission in SKIMS is based upon the CET under which 103 Postgraduate Students will be enrolled for MD/MS in 20 specialties such as Medicine, Surgery and others and 40 DM/M.ch/Ph.D. in 17 specialties and 75 in Nursing and other Graduate Courses.
