Joint Entrance Exam Main 2022 National Testing Agency(NTA) will conduct JEE Mains (Joint Entrance Examination Mains or Joint Entrance Exam Mains) to provide admission into engineering or architecture or planning courses at graduation level in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).
Candidates who pass this exam can apply for engineering (BE/BTech), architecture (BArch) and planning (BPlan) in the above mentioned institutes.
This is a national level exam that used to be conducted twice a year and this year it is being conducted in June and July. The test is also a qualifier of sorts for those aiming to study in IITs across the country. Students who pass JEE Mains and stand in top 2.5 lakh ranks will be able to apply for JEE Advanced passing which they can get a seat in IITs. The exam application submission for Session 1 of JEE Mains went on from 01-Mar-2022 to 25-Apr-2022.
The same for JEE Mains Session 2 is currently on, registration started on 1-June-2022 and is going on till 30-June-2022, while students cannot submit applications for Session 1, they can for Session 2. The official website of the exam has to be visited and then registration can be done.
The notification is released on the official website of NTA at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released.
Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.
Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and location of the test centre will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The written test will be conducted in online mode and questions related to mathematics, physics and chemistry, creativity, innovation, design aptitude and planning aptitude have to be answered in 3 hours.
Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it.
Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks, If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process. Information about the exam is provided below in a tabular format for the sake of the students:

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates.
