CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for CAT 2025, you must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, and PwD/DA candidates) or an equivalent CGPA from a recognised university. Final-year students awaiting results are also eligible. Professional degree holders like CA, CS, and ICWA are also eligible if they meet the minimum score criteria. There is no age limit for the exam. 

Academic and score requirements

• General and NC-OBC categories: A bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA.
• SC, ST, and PwD/DA categories: A bachelor's degree with at least 45% marks or an equivalent CGPA.
• Professional degrees: Candidates with a professional degree, such as CA, CS, or ICWA, are also eligible if they meet the minimum score requirement.
• Final-year students: Candidates in the final year of their bachelor's degree are eligible to apply. 

Other important criteria

• • Age limit: There is no age limit for the CAT exam.
  • Reservation: There are specific reservation percentages for SC (15%), ST (7.5%), NC-OBC (27%), and PwD (5%) categories.

CAT 2025 Exam Pattern

According to the most recent release, the CAT exam paper for 2025 will include both MCQs and TITA questions. Incorrect attempts will result in negative marking.
