The counselling process will be conducted by the authorities concerned, and the dates for it will be known after the results and cutoff scores are made known. Candidates who have passed the written exam with the required qualifying marks can look towards participating in the counselling process. The counselling fee is INR 5,900 (non-refundable).
The whole process with regard to the counselling can be explained in these simple steps mentioned below for the sake of the students.
A. Look for the result after the written examination. Once the result is released, candidates can compare their score in the test with that of the cutoff marks. If the score is either equal to or greater than the cutoff score set by the authorities concerned, candidates can go for the counselling process.
B. Students who passed the written test with the required qualifying marks can download the call letter for taking part in the counselling from the official website or from the respective email address of the candidates.
C. Post downloading the call letter for counselling, students can register for the exam either online or offline. Online registration can be done on a computer either at the home of the candidate or from a net browsing centre. Candidates can also visit the designated centres for counselling to register.
C1. Offline registration has to be done only at the designated centres for counselling established by the educational institution. Candidates have to approach the designated centre and obtain the form and fill it and submit it there.
D. Registration process comprises filling details like name of the candidate, score obtained in the entrance test concerned, qualification, name of the parents, institution of study of qualifying exam, address (permanent and temporary), email id, mobile number, choice of the course, and college for studying the course.
E. Post filling the details and uploading of required documents, applicants must check the application form for errors; if any, they must be rectified. Candidates have to pay the counselling fee either through an online form or offline. Post payment of the counselling fee, the application can be submitted.
F. The applications submitted are analysed and seats are allotted to the candidates based on the availability, candidate's demand, candidate's performance in the written test and qualifying exam.
G. Candidates who have been allotted the seat can convey their acceptance and pay the fees, and join the institution where they were allotted a seat. Sometimes, candidates have to pay a token amount of the fees as a mark of conveying their acceptance of the seat allotted. The token amount can be paid when asked; the rest of the fee amount can be paid at the institution.
G1. The counselling process will be conducted in more than one round. Candidates who do not get a seat of their choice in the first round can attempt in the subsequent rounds.
